Stance breaking him to the phase 2 AOE is something else.

To be honest, I think there is something too this. I started doing it yesterday and I was able to do it pretty consistently at the start of phase 2.

@danielanderson72 Maybe, you do have to be very aggressive with him so maybe it isn't as consistent as I'd like. I give up with this fight anyway. 😂

He should always start with that explosion in phase 2. Sometimes he just goes f it mode and just starts doing regular combos.

I don't get the regular combos that often. It's usually either the explosion, or the drill

I love that it's far from a perfect fight. You still take a lot of damage, screw up some opening etc, like everyone does. There are moments where it's really close to being killed. And so it is really something that we can learn and try. Thx
So crazy how long that last bit of damage takes. During end stages like almost zero chances to hit the guy-combos are endless and hit like a truck. Incredibly patient and clean run, awesome job!
It only took that long bc they wasted like 4 windows to deal damage by spamming roll backwards and being nowhere near him
I love these honest fights where the bosses beats the shit out of you but you still manage to win with patience and skill

this was nice because it wasn't unrealistic, I think a lot of us resonate with getting to that last 15% or so of hp, and just getting into this mode where you have to heal every opening. then you realize you haven't done damage in like 2 solid minutes 😂

Hey this is the build I beat him with on my first playthrough, I just spammed the stance r2 the whole fight becauae it was my only source of good damage, goated weapon though

Grats! I’m 105 tries deep into him atm. Tried wing stance but felt hard to punish without getting hit back most of the time. Tried a few other builds and now I’m just trying to learn to parry him. I figure might as well learn since I’ll probably do the DLC on my RL1 run eventually

In the top 3 (maybe 5, not lower) of the best Weapons in the entire game.
This is a beautiful fight. Fair one. Not like the others who are using deflecting tear just to trivialize this boss. The beauty of this boss is figuring out how to dodge all the bs in the 2nd phase. Respect for not healing in the last one and going for the kill.
Deflecting tear definitely doesn’t make this fight easy. It’s probably harder than trying to parry him since perfect blocking doesn’t stop him from attacking and give you a second to recoup
@@lankeysob deflecting tear is way more easy to do than parrying. What do you mean? Parrying has lower frames to get it right so I respect those who can perfect that. While on deflecting tear, i can spam block and then hit r1 when i hear the cue sound for guard counter. Very easy to do.
Nice fight dude, the stance break to that attack was dope. I've only fought radahn once but there seems to be some weird things with the stance carrying over. I had some attemps where i stagger him with the attack that made him go P2 and then hit him once and broke his stance again. Like Hoarah loux but weirder. Did you notice something like that while fighting him?
Exactly how I beat him, except I had to summon in the 2nd phase because everytime Radahn did a move, it would lag my pc out to the point of being nigh unplayable
This is the first time I see someone break his stance during that light AoE with other than 2x Dragonmaw

You know I had pretty much the same set up as you with golden vow, vyke’s, and flame grant me strength with the wing stance on the milady but I wasn’t doing as much damage as you. My shadow tree fragments was at 18 when I fought radahn not sure if maybe that was affecting it.

@@CocoaNut12 nope it was still normal play through. Maybe it was the talismans the ones I used were mainly defensive like physical damage negation, holy negation, non physical damage negation and the increased healing on the flask.
sometimes watching fights like this where there is back and forth between you and the enemy is better than hitless fights. Hitless has its purpose and enjoyable for a different reason. It got a little too close for comfort during the gravity suck and clone spam combo, that move is almost a guaranteed death if you get sucked

It does increase damage of 'Dance' type Ashes of War. I'm not sure if it effects WIng Stance.

Prolly sharp or heavy infusion
Whetblades will allow you to change the base infusion that comes with the Ash of War. Some Ashes of War have a restricted range of infusions, while others will allow you to infuse anything as long as you have the corresponding whetblade.
do you do something specific to guarantee that stance break at the beginning of the 2nd phase? I tried doing it with the same weapon and it didn't work
just rewatched and saw that your lightning weapon buff didn't go out before you did it so it's probably that right?
@@drunkonrootbeer6085 It depend on how often you hit the boss to break the stance. You have to do big amount of damage to him.

vertical swing ghost run to the right, meteor ghosts run backward and roll away, idk the other ones but the ghosts themselves are weak so just prioritize the real hit.

If you want to go full damage just change dragoncrest shield, Golden braid to RELLANA'S CAMEO and Rotten Winged Sword Insignia!! I use quality wing stance ash of war.

Focus on Strength&Dex. Mine is both 80 then you can go Vigor and engurance. For talishmans I pick holy and physical resistance for Tank😂 Shard of Alexander and Milicent’s hand for damage
