      I don´t think chess is going to be solved and for sure not in the next 100 years, but even if it were solved what can you do with millions of billions of trillions of pages of engine analysis. The most you´ll be able to learn in terms of concrete moves is the openings and some simple endgames.

    • @thesazbak5342
      @thesazbak5342 2 роки тому +4

      I think 960 is not good since it doesn't involve opening preparation at all. Better idea should be to choose a random starting position out of the 960 and they change it every 2 or so years. That way opening preparation would still exists but you can't rely forever on it so there would be lots of new positions all the time.

    Chess will eventually require more complex possibilities in order to have more decisive games. I’ve always enjoyed the idea to be able to capture ones own pieces. From move 1 alone a player will have more than just 20 possible moves. In endgames, we see players forcing repetitions. With the ability to capture ones own pieces, this can allow more chances while also giving your opponent options as well. More complicated for sure and openings will have more variety overall.

      @kelmateo5496 2 роки тому

      the pieces are randomly placed in 960 so theres no theory to learn at all thats his point. in classical you memorize the first moves and those usually already give a person a strong advantage depending on how the openings match up against ea other. this makes chess difficult to get into. nothing to do with machines being better since we all know this to be true

      Caruana allowing himself to be degraded by Danny Rensch is especially hard for me.

      @@JoeARedHawk275 This is the first time Caruana is commentating on chess. He's great. Everyone is loving it. Hess is also doing well. But Wrench is constantly trying to be the comedian of the show, interrupting, interjecting, and sliding into the commentary with the most banal, self-indulgent, grade school level "humor" and lingo I've seen from a grown man in a long time. And what makes it even worse is that *he knows it*. He knows a lot of people are pissed off about his schtick. He's even referred to it as "cringey" in a little skit they did that made fun him. But he defiantly and stubbornly refuses to chill out and let Fabi and Hess lead the show.

      I love the comment sections of chess videos. They reveal how much the game attracts stuffy, wannabe elitists who fancy themselves as high class because they engage in hobbies they consider to be [queue elitist voice] "gentlemen's games." They're the reason activities like chess and golf are in desperate need of Happy Gilmore type of figures.
