Congratulation Kristal for the great explanation. I have a question: there are many propaedeutic courses that need prior completion of other courses. If you have not completed the propaedeutic course but have completed the next sophia / coursera course, will it still be accepted?

First, you have been a great help to Uopeople students and I can't thank you enough for your contribution. My problem is that I transferred 14 courses and some of the courses rejected even though I met all the requirements for all courses to be eligible to transferred. What should I do in this situation?

Hi Kristal, Thanks a lot for your valuable video. I am starting English Composition ENGL 0101 tomorrow on my first term and I would like to know whether I can take courses at Sophia at the same time. Because currently I do not see transfer credit option in my account while studying to demonstrate English Language Proficiency. Please reply me when you have time , thanks!
You can't transfer courses until you complete and pass the 2 foundation courses. But yes you can do sophia courses at the same time. Once you complete the foundation course you will get the option to transfer the credits
Hey Kristal, I have signed up for Sophia learning and intended to end my learning next month. IDK but can't find the subscription button. Where to cancel learning once we are done sister??
Hi, how to make the payment once the transfer credit process is successfully completed because I cannot find any link to make payment, it is just showing 68 USD , please help me
They dont grade transfer credits, it goes on your transcript as TC and there is no grade, neither does it affect your GPA. Only courses done directly with UoPeople directly affects your grade.
Hey! I was wondering if I can take courses on other platforms. I've heard about Sophia, but there are a lot of other platforms. I don't know if people haven't tried other platforms or maybe UoPeople doesn't accept from other ones. 🤔
Yes you can, once the course is ACE accredited they will accept it. They accept Ace credits from Saylor Academy and Straighter line. They also accept CLEP, AP, and IB, see more details here: www.uopeople.edu/become-student/application/transferring-credits-to-university-of-the-people/?{adid}&gclid=CjwKCAiAgvKQBhBbEiwAaPQw3PpwkF0W4mQH_Ctltm0wdaUMXxQS24EFQByQ8CP6KkhFOI0dtQF59hoCm64QAvD_BwE

@@JESUSISLORDTheWayTruthandLife unfortunately no, as Sophia only give u access to the first challenge for free. You will not have access to the full course on the free trial

Does the transfer of credit from Sophia Learning to the UoPeople after graduating with a bachelor’s degree affect acceptance of a master’s degree at another university? What I mean is if another university recognizes the UoPeople and I can study the master's with them, if the credit transfer will affect it negatively, since the course was not done directly with the UoPeople.
It is not free.. there is a free trial that only allows you to access one challenge in unit. But you have to pay for the subscription in order to complete the course
I got a 50% discount for the first month so paid $40 for the subscription.. the 2nd time i did it it paid full price of $79... Shortly after that their prices increased to $99..
