Great work sir. Please include the condition to do this method. Like if shallow water correction present then not possible to do this method. Correct me if i am wrong

Thanks for the response Seasonal correction for standard port is negative of the value given in the tide table whereas for secondary port it is taken as it is given in the table . Hope this clears your doubt Keep supporting Ahoy! Navigos
Thanks for the responce, Graph has to be used to get ht of tide and not for timings for getting ht of tide of any particular port you will have to use graphs and remember graphs are given for standard ports only so use that graph and get ht of tide of standard port and then apply secondary port correction to obtain secondary port ht of tides. Regards, Team Ahoy! Navigos
There is one doubt in my mind mate. How many decimal places do we need to write the answer to ? I mean the time and height of tide in the final answer Ylu wrote for say 0414.03 as time and then height as 5.17 Is it required ?? I can write it as 0414 and 5.2 straight as well 🤔🤔 Please reply
No, its better to write final answer also in two decimals, but even if you round it up at the end and write in single decimal, it will be fine. Better not to give a chance for them to cut your marks. Regards, Team Navigos
Sure, for a particular time of a standard port you can just see how many hours and minutes it is from closest HW and comparitivly draw the graph as mentioned in ATT, also please see through video where graph is explained. Regards, Team Navigos

Excellent Video sir, Is the Seasonal correction already included for the Standard port daily tide data?
No you will have to include it its given in ATT
For preparation of second mate / DNS/ BSC nautical science/NCV come in #kundanpatna
seasonal correction for 2ndary port is also same like std port?
Thanks for the response
Seasonal correction for standard port is negative of the value given in the tide table whereas for secondary port it is taken as it is given in the table .
Hope this clears your doubt

When we use graph and when we not use plz tell
Thanks for the responce,

Also you cant use graph when tide duration time is not between 5-7 hrs, then you need to go for simple harmonic method.

There is one doubt in my mind mate.
How many decimal places do we need to write the answer to ?
I mean the time and height of tide in the final answer
Ylu wrote for say 0414.03 as time and then height as 5.17
Is it required ??
I can write it as 0414 and 5.2 straight as well 🤔🤔
Please reply
Thanks for approaching us, its better to take two decimals to avoid rounding off errors and variation in final answers
Regards,
Team Navigos
@@SailorSyd007 ohkk but when we draw the final table in the answer sheet..
Then we can write it in whole numbers ?
No, its better to write final answer also in two decimals, but even if you round it up at the end and write in single decimal, it will be fine.
Better not to give a chance for them to cut your marks.

Why inverse seasonal correction applied?
how you will know the number of the port ?

Sir if the time is given in the question in GMT then how to calculate?
Tidal data s are in local time convert them in to required time zone
