Great advice! I got really sick in Phuket once, somehow managed to go to local pharmacy, staff there perfect english, sold me these carbon tablets (think it was like $3 or even less) 8 hours later I was feeling 70% better, and 24 felt ok! For someone that doesn't go to pharmacies for anything much, In out in 5 mins! and help/advice was worth $100's!
Many decades ago early 70s the Marines were stationed in Nam Phong and were bused into Udon for four days a month as r and r since Udon was an active air force base so was easier to integrate us with more of the locals than letting us lose in Khon Karen
Nice video! I was surprised that you can get so many medicines without a doctor's prescription in Thailand. In some cases very useful if you know exactly what you need.
Thank you for sharing this video. Thailand is not a rich country and the country tries to provide good health care to all people, even they are foreigners. For foreigners, if you visit Thailand and have small health problems, go to consult pharmacists in any drug store. They are very friendly and can give you very good suggestions.
I have the Modelo covid test kit, it comes with 12 test 😉 Jack is always so helpful and patient with the questions, people like him are great to know. Many blessings to you, Paige and family 🙏🏼 Cheers 🍻
Thank you for another awesome video of your trip. As for your rants, let em fly. A lot of us here agree with what you think of whats going on in the world today with Cov*d. The snow flakes can just melt away. Stay true to yourself.
Most of the pharmacies in Pattaya you can get Sideagra or some different ones. You can also buy some of them pills off people on the streets selling them but they are not always effective. So it is buyer beware. In case anyone is interested.
thank you jack for being a real man and getting the vaccine and being upfront and honest. and you need to go ask jack about.opioid pain pills .how easy are they to get at jacks store . some of us have back pains like pinched nerves in our backs
Ooh. Can you find out if we can buy lidocaine patches over the counter? And can you buy UTI antibiotics over the counter? And is it easy to see a doctor? Do you have to go to a hospital to see a doctor or are their local doctors? Will doctors do home visits? What does it cost? Thank you so much. This is very useful
Hello chuck always nice to see and hear Jack talk about thing’s, my wife and I had phizer no issues at all, looking forward for your next Road Trip hopefully soon, thanks for being a positive channel 👍🏼🍺
I have live in Sakon Nakhon 9 years and dont think move back to Sweden have problem in neck and back after traffic accident so warm weather are good me l like your movies have think make it self but my power its bad so l use that on my family this film its good many don't know this things l have one good pharmacy here l use we have much pharmacys here they can find everything if you want your pharmacist think right little happy over that because many thai people not think on long timesway i have write to you before on FB its good movies you make for us
I'll be the 1st to say that I like Jack. He has a good aura about him ( and i'm not into that hippy shit). He just talks sense and reality and for a guy who does the job he does that's am imho, REALLY good thing. I don't want a pharmacist to punt the trendy drug or the one X company is pushing on them. I want to buy the right thing for the problem and Jack screams confidence on that. I seriously appreciated his personal assessment of his own vaccine treatment - it wasn't what he would've picked by choice but he felt doing his job a "something rather than nothing" approach was best for him. I got a lot of respect for a guy like that.
I had my first shot of Astra Zeneca, last month, no issues at all, waiting next month for second! I just want Australia to open and allow us to leave !
When I have visited Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur I have been able to purchase metformin without a prescription. I am not diabetic but I take metformin for its anti-aging effects. In Bangkok I bought it at a small pharmacy very close to Emquartier. In the USA, I can buy it from a online licensed physician who sells it for anti-aging. It costs much less in Bangkok and KL.
Good day Chuck ! Better get yourself a pack of that Activated Charcoal for your self and keep 1 in your travel pouch. You never know when you might need it while on the road. ( just recently you ate a few bites of those carbonated & fizzy pickles) 🤣🤣🤣
I have received my first vaccine shot and am scheduled to get my second shot of Sinovac tomorrow. Zero side effects from the first shot but my wife and some of the other wives had a sore arm around where the shot was injected. My wife is in the Thai Red Cross so I got hooked up earlier than expected.
hey chuck and paige. took several covid tests today. but no positive result (after 6 cans 0.50 liters) hahaha. I loved your video again. I can't wait to meet you in person. greetz easyinlife.
Chuck did you say it was almost 5 thirsty ? I 'm sure that Paige & Momma Mafia are already sipping a Cold Leo. You better get yours before it is all gone.🍺🍺🍺
After you are here for a while your body adjusts to the local foods and becomes less sensitive. If you are eating something and it tastes "off" stop eating it immediately. Most food is fresh and cooked completely, stay away from things such as raw shrimp, blood cockles, and raw meats. Most of the food related illness here has entailed remaining close to a bathroom and not traveling very far from the bathroom.
diphenhydramine is prescription only. which is a pain as it's common over the counter in USA. Benydryl, Sominex (to sleep), etc. I have to bring it with me, Also Aleve is very expensive when you can find it. I wonder why this is.
I like the fact you can get amoxicillin at the pharmacy w/out a prescription in Thailand(and really the rest of the world except the USA) because those antibiotics are great for a toothache and really knock out the infection. The only thing I thought odd was the last time I was there I couldn't find Neosporin(triple antibiotic ointment) as I got a cut and wanted to apply to speed up the healing. Snowey is a wheat beer similar to Blue Moon I had it last time I was in Thailand and I think maybe adding an orange slice might improve it. Thanks for posting.
NICE INTERVIEW WITH JACK THE PHARMACIST HE IS VERY PROFESSIONAL IN HE IS JOB PLEASE DO NOT EVEN COMPER THE MEDICAL IN U.A..S ITS ALL ABOUT MONEY IN U.A.S. IT IS CONTROLLED BY WHO? U KNOW WHAT IS THE ANSWER FOR EXAMPLE CUBE IS BETER THAN u.s.a WITH RESPECT ✊ ONE LOVE ❤️
Things are getting better here in the states. I went shopping yesterday n didn't have to wear a mask. I have had my vaccine shots since early March(Pfizer) so if it's available in Thailand get the shots
iim planning on visiting Thailand next year. i have enough medication for threes months however im wondering if epilepsy medication (KEPRA to be specific) is available in a pharmacy or would you need to go to the hospital to ask for a prescription?
Short story is pharmaceuticals in Thailand don’t differ much from China. I needed antibiotics in Beijing and my wife said you need to see the doctor and go to the hospital. I said I’m just going downstairs. I went to the local pharmacy and put a stack of cash on the counter while pointing to the antibiotics. The pharmacist looked around, stuffed them in a bag and handed me back half the stack of cash. My wife said I don’t know how you did that! I said pay attention next time 😂
Chuck ask Jake which of the three vaccines in the USA would he take ? Pfizer Maderna or J&J ( Johnson & Johnson) ? I personally took J&J. Because one and done. Does Jack provide the Covid vaccine at his store like they do here in USA?
No, drugstores or pharmacy can only help you make a reservation. Only nurses and doctors are allowed to poke you and it has to be done in an open area provided by the government where it can hold 100 if not 1000 people. Then you will be asked to sit around for 30 mins if you don't show any sign of serious side effects then you can go home
Udon Would be my first choice to live if i'm honest .If i had the money 😏Both jabs in with no side affects for me ..I'm keeping everything crossed to visit and spend time in Thailand early next year.. Please 🙏🙏🙏Doesn't pa red look well 😊
I'd be interested to hear Jack's opinion of Strepsils. Personally, I think it is the greatest over the counter thing for a sore throat I have ever found so just curious what he thinks about it as a professional.
Hello Chuck, your interview with the pharmacist, both with "muzzle" on and glass between you, what a nonsense for a illness comparable with influenza (it's not like the ebolavirus !) We wonder ourselves when all these madness will finish all over the world.Greetings to you, Paige & the mafia.
Thank you Chuck and Jack for a very informative and interesting Q&A. Funny that hungry was one of Jack's side effects from the vaccine. I got Pfizer and felt a little arm soreness where injection was administered and sleepy on day #2, but that's all. I wish Thailand could get the Pfizer vaccine which is 95% effective after 2 dosages. Also, Chuck, I much prefer yr Covid test 🍺 😊
You must see a Thai Doctor. But check with Pharmacist first, might not need a prescription here. Medications I have found to be different here so best to check. cost is Nothing to have check compared to US and the hospital will have a pharmacy inside.
Hi Chuck - we are planning on traveling to Thailand later this year. Does Jack have access to Ivermectin at his pharmacy and do we need a prescription for it? Thanks for everything you do!
Hi Chuck, I saw the blessing dingle dangle hanging from the rear view mirror of your truck. The resolution I have is not great, but that looks like a Shiva amulet there. I know Thai Buddhism draws heavily from Brahmanism/Hunduism, but what does the amulet mean to you?
Jack's right about not having an actual Pharmacist in some chemist shops. I find that in large pharmacies they don't stock prescription drugs because of this reason. Where my local guy has all those drugs on the shelf. Like you, I love Thailand!
next time you talk to jack the chemist can you ask him about prescription medicine for my heart can you get that over the counter or do i need some sort of a letter from my GP because my wife and i need out of australia asap we are in lock down again for 30 cases there is very few cases in chiang rai thats where my wife is from
Great advice!

Hi Chuck and Paige. Great interview with Jack. Thank you. 🙏 😎 🇦🇺
Good morning, Chuck and Paige. Happy Sunday Fun Day. Take care stay safe. Thanks for the video. 👍😘🙏
Thank you too

Many drug stores in Thailand do not have pharmacist. The store sign may say "Pharmacy," but not required to be certified pharmacist.
Many women have tits in Thailand but are not female .
Had that snowy beer a year ago. It was ok. Cheers 🍻
Good video Chuck, the pharmacy guy was very interesting. 😊

I got AstraZeneca first dose on last Thursday ....no issues, no side effects...just a bit tired but I did work the week as well.
I like that wheat beer, nice change of pace from Chang, Leo, Singha.
Thanks Chuck and Paige,
Thanks for the heads up on the charcoal capsules 👍
They’ll be a standard in my backpack from now on!

Not over the counter.... Most people here are vaccinated, has nothing to do with being a real man..
@@notime2bsad what about for 10,000 thb?
Your father in law is always in a nice shirt. Very cool! I think those covid tests are the best! No swabs or needles involved.

Can one find hydroxyurea / hydrea in TH, at local pharmacy or hospital pharmacy?
Where did you purchase those masks from please, They look cool with the ear cut out.
Aloha, I take Metoprolol and Lisinopril/HCTZ these are common so I guess they should have both.
Yes I take the same heart meds here.
