With due respect this is amateur discussion and the expert is either reticent to reveal facts or part of the failed team. This is a serious problem when you invite experts who are ex Govt employees and were associated with the hijack.
They all beat round the bush, brush aside the miscalculation and poor leadership. They all cover each other. Hosts must be more direct and knowledgeable who can cross question them. Hosts should not be a party for coverup.

It is understandable that an intelligence officer in a senior position will not be able to reveal everything they know publicly. We respect our guest's discretion. As hosts, we are only trying to have a conversation and trying to understand their POV -Khyati

The guests narrative about unfolding hijack drama unknowingly exposes lack of professionalism and competency of the agencies entrusted with our national security. It's utterly shocking as this incident happened a few months after Kargill. The guest a very senior RAW officer hands over his office bag to his driver to attend a meeting! The Crisis managing team has no proper communication gears, no standard SOP to handle hijack situations, a baraat of 52 people goes to Kandahar, no proper communication within agencies. This is a horror story. I sincerely pray that after 40 years we are not as incompetent as the host unknowingly exposes. Whenever a key piece of information is asked guests skillfully avoid answering them. When blame is to be fixed all these ex GOI employees have one standard excuse " that was a political decision". So pls don't blame us! We did our best etc etc. But the reality is politicians are not strategic, geopolitics, defence or hijack experts. They follow the advice of career diplomats. In all discussions I have been watching all these Ex GOI employees cover for each other and blame the politicians.
