I've got to say that this Coastal BC series has given me a new affection for my home country. I'm originally from Ontario and haven't had an opportunity to explore BC. I really want to now.
Oh what an adventure! Your videos are so low key, full of nature, wilderness and gentle camaraderie between you both! It is a delight to watch your progress! Thanks!
Life got busy for us and we were about 30 videos behind but now are finally all caught up. I had forgotten how wonderful it was to follow all your adventures. The scenery so amazing! We won't get behind again.....just too wonderful to be able to get lost in your world. Thank you for allowing us to come along. Continued safe travels. God Bless!
Rain, hail or shine....who cares! You are in a magnificent part of the world and from previous videos you guys won't really care about the weather anyway! Thanks for sharing (as usual) and enjoy!
Another nice video from my favorite adventurers. The sea lions and whales are fascinating. Keep smiling, even in the rain. Thanks for sharing your life with us. Peace
The red-headed boy is speaking English quite well. It amazes me what a person speaking a new language must learn.....everything has a new name. It must be like starting again from scratch after losing your memories. I think one must be very intelligent to begin living that new roll. This was another excellent episode.....thank you both!!
Malin and Johan, thank you so much for all your sailing posts, you have really put my mind at ease and I understand a lot more about sailing. My daughter and her husband are starting to sail. They have flown to Florida to pick up their boat and are now sail south of Florida. I look forward to your posts to learn more about sailing and the areas you explore. All the best to you both and safe waters for you to sail. Sincerely Debee Olson
Once again, thanks for sharing. You two put out amazingly good quality vids. And what's really amazing, there are only the two of you filming and editing, yet you manage to release one every week. Great job!
Malin: "Perfect Timing" as the rain comes crashing down as they enter the harbor.... Vancouver is a beautiful city with tremendous culture, great restaurants and much to do! Recently spent a few days there just exploring (from San Diego)… Enjoy!
SuperLaplander Vancouver BC best place to visit in Pacific NW . Vibs are best . Lots to do . Gateway to Alaska Hiway , Sunshine Coast, Vancouver Island, and BC inland waterway. Jacque Cousteau took his vessel and crew to the Queen Charlotte Islands off the coast of BC, and found a bay that they gritted out, and determine that there was more diversity of Life there then anywhere else in the world. Great for any ocean-going biologist.
So enjoyable... you know, if you had conducted a survey ahead of time, I would have voted against sailing to Alaska and Canada. Show's what I know. This series has been so nice, the scenery, the animals, even the constant gentle rumble of the engine. I think though, that it's the two of you that make these videos so enjoyable. Thank you once again for all your efforts to share this adventure with us landlubbers. Cheers!
As always, great material, great video, and the Oatmeal looked tasty. My week is complete after watching. In the video world, that’s called Entertaining. I see Johan survived the parents. The haircut worked.
You and Walde sailing are headed in the same direction. The 4 of you seem like you should meet as you are all very nice people. Just be careful, they seem to keep making people smile especially when they aren’t trying.
Having spent the majority of my life, some 40yrs sailing Puget Sound, the San Juan Islands, circumnavigating Vancouver Island in races, and far more than my share of time in Vancouver BC as a Seattle WA native, it brings back extremely strong memories. I’m currently in Sacramento CA and sailboat-less, I miss the PNW area, its my home, but I don’t miss the grey and rainy days that seem to last from September until late June, it killed my spirit so I moved for work and to raise my kids in the sun. I have plenty of friends and family, and a home I still own in the Seattle area, this video makes me miss it a ton.
Great video! I watch those wildlife shows thinking that they are far away places from the Midwest of USA but realize from your videos that it isn't that far to see nature at its finest. Thanks!
GReat vlog guys !! So peaceful and calm. Hope the family enjoyed their stay. Seems like the rain stopped as you git to False Creek !! Good for you. 😊⛵️⚓️👍👌
Saw you at anchor in False Creek flying a Swedish flag and thought "they're a long way from home" I live on the seawall a 7 minute walk to Mahoney and Sons pub.
Your videos are always very informative and well done. I visited Powell River in the early 1970's to meet college friends (from Cal Poly SLO), Kim B and Russ M, who moved there. It was one of the best times of my life.
Very interesting to see you motoring in the Vancouver area, as opposed to so many sailing channels in the warmer latitudes! We are in Boise Idaho and so feel almost like you are visiting us. Thank you for the videos.
The BC Coast is our home cruising grounds-- we are in the planning/preparation stages for a year-long cruise from Europe to the Caribbean,... but you are sure reminding me of what an amazing place we have right here at home-- Thanks!
The scenery is just beautiful and indescribable. I love those drone pics. Just can't get over such beauty. Thanks for the video. What a contrast to the city views.
Thanks for visiting Canada. You have certainly captured it's beautiful landscape and nature. Perhaps you'll visit us on the east coast someday. I've gotta work on my oatmeal recipe!

It was fun to meet you when you were here and have you anchored right in front of me.
Looking forward to the next video. -Dave
PS. It's still raining

You're in Squatch country now!!
In aviation when the wind blows you sideways we call it "crabbing" because it resembles the way a crab travels on the ground.
Secret Cove is my home. So sad I missed you guys.

Loved the video, from Ottawa Canada. Those Vancouver condo's overlooking the bay look very appealing and such a short ride 'to the nature'.
