After Mufasa: The Lion King I wonder if the Disney film makers are planning to make the version of The Lion King 2: Simba's Pride in the future because I would like to see Kovu make an appearence at last in the live action especially with Kion make his appearence at the end of the movie.
I agree the transition from Taka to Scar was extremely quick, almost to the point of being unbelievable. But the more I thought about it, I think he didn’t fully transition into scar, I think this was the beginning of that downward spiral. I think a lot more happened after this movie and before the first lion King movie that turned him into scar. Because he was still expecting his brother Mufasa to forgive him, yes, what Taka did was wrong and it was a betrayal like Mufasa said, but when it came down to it Taka risk his life to save his brother. I would say it was the first time in the movie itself that he put himself in literal danger, any time before this, he would always watch from the shadows instead of interfering. The shock that his brother would not forgive him I think was still there, even as the movie ended. It would be great to have another movie that comes after this one and before the first lion King, where they explore this downward spiral, and also how the hyenas came into the picture. Also, who were the lions we see in lion King two who are known as the outsiders? Were they survivors from Taka’s pride? So many questions still unanswered.

Simba's pride is objectively #1
