I always wondered how Bruce Lee would do in the UFC. I can imagine him doing quite well. He is just so quick, powerful, and flexible, and all of that in a frame which only weighs 145 lbs.
@DreDre2411 Naa, that was the show were Bruce originally was casted for, but was sacked, and got replaced by David Carradine, i think Bruce never was in an Ep of Kung-Fu. this was an episode of a series where Bruce had a guest part, he was training the blind detective, after Bruce saved him from muggers in a dark alley. the Blond fella had the main role in the show.. believe that this was the best episode from the entire series ;p
I don't believe in one god but many.. & hes one of the gods up there watching down. Never will be forgotten. Best quote hands down. \m/ RIP Master Bruce Lee
exactly, I love his water theory, but what he said in this video at the end about learning the art of dying. That really made me think, because it is hard for a lot of people to do it. That's what I like about bruce lee, he got his ass kicked like 2 or 3 times when he was younger and instead of just saying fuck it he trains hard as fuck, puts knowledge into it and became the greatest. He was a great inspiration
@horizonviews This was a 1970s TV show called "LongStreet." James Franciscus played a blind Insurance Investigator...I remember watching it when I was young...it was pretty cool stuff back then...
To learn the art of dying! Fantastic point,to accept the defeat, there's the real strengh in it, i came up to the same understanding and agree completely..
@TheM9Beretta I'm there with you.. I love my life..but sometimes I wish I could just give that up, and just be raised in a dojo.. nothing but you and nature, and your teacher you turning you into a man and letting you indulge in a home grown philosophy..can't get any better than that.
DiscoStu20886 honestly that was a terrible lose for the world because he probably had more in his heart to share with us.but he had to die eventualy and also bruce lee kinda made china famous and he is a hero to me R.I.P
He was originally born in San Francisco redfox but moved back to China and lived there for 10 yrs before moving back. He got the name Bruce from a nurse at the hospital where he was born. It was a nicknamed she gave him. I think his Chinese Named means Phoenix or something like that.
Bruce Lee appeared as Li Tsung in the following 4 episodes of the only season of LONGSTREET with airdates: Episode #1 "The Way of the Intercepting Fist" (9-16-71) Episode #6 "Spell Legacy Like Death" (10-21-71) Episode #9 "Wednesday's Child" (11-11-71) Episode #10 "I See, Said the Blind Man" (11-18-71
"To me, ultimately, martial arts means honestly expressing yourself. Now, it is very difficult to do. It has always been very easy for me to put on a show and be cocky, and be flooded with a cocky feeling and feel pretty cool and all that. I can make all kinds of phoney things. Blinded by it. Or I can show some really fancy movement. But to experience oneself honestly, not lying to oneself, and to express myself honestly, now that is very hard to do." Bruce Lee
I think he means face it like your dead and you'll see your thoughts and fears are under your control, with an act of everyday is last and every fight is last...
Bruce Lee is a legend, and has inspired many to take up his craft. Too bad he took bad medical advice from doctors at the time like other entertainers.
@TKOGNB Bruce created a style of fighting to combat any man with two arms and two legs in spite of any style of fighting, instead of confining himself to one style designed for an opponent of a similar style. Bruce FTW!
I wish that the UFC wouldve started 20 years earlier so Bruce Lee couldve been whooping ass against all the heavyweights. No offense, im an avid HUGE fan of UFC but just the thought of him using his such disciplinary style and technique of Jeet Kun Do against some of those guys would really just be awesome.
@anonymus1ful - no shit bruce wasn't a practitioner of China continental... bruce made his own, from all. he isn't a part of a culture. he MADE a culture. i thought everyone knew this about him..
@dyc2hwl I know its not just a mixture. He did use any art that he thought was useful to him. Any move. Thats what its about. Using what works for you.
Bruce Lee's Be like Water line is a step into his fighting style Jeet Kune Do is a formless style it adapts 2 every situation is has no exact way 2 use it those who accept death are free from death it self because they no longer are afraid of it and may live there lives freely
@dyc2hwl Water has structure in itself yet it also needs a solid with specific defined structure to be/form into. Each punch, kick, strike, grapple are the solids but we should not be like the solid objects that is ridged but the water that can flow and form to be any solid object.
Just like the last comment posted by CaNaSiAn777, can someone PLEASE share the knowledge of this clip? I am a Bruce Lee fan and have stumbed upon short clips from this before but can never get a straight answer so far. Please someone...WHAT TV Show is this from? Is it a Green hornet clip or something else? It is really driving me crazy cause I want to search for this but I have no idea what the title is. Anyone ?
@kooooolmatt The great thing about JKD is that, you dont change yourself to it, it becomes you. Understanding yourself as a fighter is the only way you can truly master it
Actually sum-i and chin-na can be effective against akijitsu , jujitsu or taijitsu And the jian or dao or effective but the iron whip would be effective against the katana
Somewhere between a Guillotine choke and an anaconda choke i'd say. Cuts off the blood to the brain by restricting the arteries. However I think it isn't meant to be any specific choke, just simply show that bruce has control over the neck so he can explain his philosophy
Man.. bruce lee is awesome. RIP: you will be forever missed, and always remembered.
after death, continues to inspire everyone with his philosophy ... not just a fighting style is a style of life ...
Bruce great!
Bruce Lee The Best
He was ready to die, he wasn't afraid of Death. He will be the fire of my heart forever. Thumbs up for the master of life BRUCE LEE!!!
He's doing absolutely everything right, not just for fighting, but for enlightenment, focus, God, Heaven, success.
I was impressed and moved by this drama when I watched it. Jeet Kune Do's technique and essence, Bruce Lee's strongest and best.
Sad that Bruce experienced The Art Of Dying so early. But his spirit will live on forEVER
1:02 greatest quote ever
bruce lee's philisophy is really precious... to learn the art of dying is the way to become fearless and adapt..

My favorite Saying Ever.....
Yeah? Okay, I thought he was in only one, but I wasn't even born when this show was on the air. So, I believe you.
