Yup. In fact, I could take him out of a brackish tank, and plop him straight into freshwater, without a moment's acclimation. ua-cam.com/video/Eh-Uxlm03jc/v-deo.html
Glad to see the guy so happy! Range top for the F8`s is really 1.008 for a permanent solution? Cause I was thinking about geting up to 1.011 for les say 2-3 Weeks to make shure Bonnie does not have any skin parasites on her. I am now verry curious with her, she sneses once to much and I get fish emergency over here even if it cost me my last shirt or my right arm!
You can put her in full marine if you want. A freshwater dip will or a saltwater dip should remove any external parasites. Does she have any parasites? I wouldn't treat her for parasites unless you are pretty sure she has some.
I've had a brackish tank for 2 years... With only snail's because I cannot afford the fish but I've been looking lately for someone getting rid of a "fresh water fish" that's actually brackish.
The Bumblebee Gobies are awsome for brakish. If you ever go for a puffer, go for small ones only PLEASE! (best F8 or Green spoted all other brakish puffer will need 150 Gallons+ size tank) And remember the puffer will be like 15-20 bucks, that is not much, but you should be up to the fact they might get 18yo and you should have sufficient funds to get them the best care you can. A puffer live that ends after a few years is a wasted life. Had to find out recent my Male F8 was sick (he was weak since I got him one year ago) and he went away within 3 days. I do not know what I did wrong or if I even did something wrong at all. I still feel like a bag of dog poo for loosing him. So be ready to have your heart ripped out if you mess up with a animal that comes close to a cat livespan whise. Also they behave alot like a cat. :) Sorry for the wall of text.
Paramecium Caudatum I doubt you did anything wrong with your fish. It sounds like he just had poor genetics or was sickly all along. I've had fish that never did well, then died young. It sucks, but it's not your fault.
It is a really cool place to canoe, fish, camp, and hike. It is right down the road from me. Yet, I haven't been there in years. That is going to change.
Sector 001 When I lived in Jax we camped in Mayport, near the naval base (right on the ocean), and we'd go west on 10 to Live Oak and there was a campground on the Suwannee river. We also spent a LOT of time on the ICW.
The brand use choose is up to you, but be sure you use "marine salts" NOT aquarium salt. The S.G. will be dependant on the fish you keep. A Figure 8 and BB gobies should be between 1.005 and 1.008.
great tip brother and i hate they sold as fresh water fish
Really cool video dan with loads of interesting info as always .... I still love the look of this red tank 🤗

ELIZABETH Batista Sometimes. I do more making videos, than I do watching videos. Lol
Damn dude, never knew this. You said it, but I was just making sure, so your next water change could be all fresh and your puffer would be fine?

You can do Mollies, Guppies, Platies, or any other live bearer. They're cheap enough to get a little something started.

The next time I am at the Jonathan/Dickenson Park, I will video a bunch of "Butterbeans" in the wild.
Awesome!
They love to eat fiddler crabs.
Sector 001 I'll bet! I looked up that park. It looks awesome!

what salt should i use to do brackish..and what salinity should I maintain?

Is it best to keep guppies in brackish or fresh water?
