How can anybody not enjoy your videos. Always fun interesting informative and straight to the point. You taught me that jelly cats and Disney plushes are worth picking up. Sharing is caring Ian lol.
Agree with your thoughts about EBay,due to their high charges, now only sourcing goods for sale on vinted spread over a number of family accounts, things seem to sell a lot quicker as well.Excellent content as always Ian, many thanks, Carl
Good vid m8 😊 The problem you are having is whats called NEP not enough profit. The charity shops are ok but they have started to sell aftrr looking the items up on ebay so they are listing them just under the ebay prices, here in Liverpool they have even started putting items in display cabnets at retail when they should be thankful they get what ever they can for their charity aftrr all if the item sits for weeks in a display cabinet it is not benefitting the charity the money is designated for is it? The booties are coming to an end soon too so get whatever you can as fast as you can and then you can start moving all your old stock that you put away for the winter months can't you? 😊
I'm picking up enough to hit my targets at the moment. With charity shop prices going up... just means I might have to sell more volume if items individually are bringing less profit
Charity shops can be a battle at times but you've shown that expanding your knowledge base can yield decent returns, even when the odds feel stacked against you. Regarding the RM thing, I've had very few issues with them but eBay should know better than stepping in needlessly.
Just to confirm re postage. I had a ‘tracked’ sale today. The buyer confirmed that they could automatically access tracking on their purchase. As I bought the Royal Mail postage through eBay, the tracking number was automatically uploaded, so no need for me to do anything 😊
Keep up the good work Ian! A consistently good balance of enjoyable content 🤩 No pressure 😅 Seriously, I’m sure you know content providers who have crashed and burned ✊
Always upload your tracking number to ebay ! if you use ebay postage then its auto uploaded - as long as your parcel is scanned at PO as sent - within your 3 day limit, you cannot get a default. Always upload tracking.
Its an ebay thing , I had the same problem so I contacted them and they told me to give the tracking details when marking as dispatched and then it would not happen . @@MasterofPieces
@@MasterofPieces if you upload, you never have trouble. If you use ebay postage, the tracking upload is automatic and you can also book collection by Royal Mail to pick up from your house where postie scans on collection. Uploading tracking after the event is no use. Upload it straight away, you are fully covered and the buyer has the details. Also if you do not upload tracking, if the buyer opens a INR claim, they will always win.
I don’t think that they are pricing up because of resellers. With the internet and esp eBay it’s just so much easier for charity shops to get a ‘realistic’ price.
@@MasterofPieces I was in a charity shop over the weekend and there was a rail of presumably new donations. The manager was sorting through it like a dose of salts… ‘eBay’ ‘Rail’ ‘Rail’ ‘eBay’ ‘Bin’ 😂 The type of pro-active manager charities dream of and re-sellers dread 😭 Having said that, picked up a nice ‘Camel Active’ shirt (can’t remember who put me on to them) in my size. £6.50, but only £2.99 at the till 🤷♂️
I've just taken to selling the fisher price coins and skipping / donating the tills, get a decent price for the coins, sell quicker and less hassle to post
I’ve just had exactly the same thing with the late delivery on my account a few days ago. Never happened before. Turned up 1 day (!) ”late”, though no complaint from buyer. I always ship same or next working day. Hope this isn’t a sign of things to come…
I don’t understand this. EBay expects you to dispatch within a time scale, not deliver. The buyer must have raised an issue somewhere, like in Ian’s example.
Yeah, but would have thought I'd receive notification of an issue raised though? Who knows what they're up to at eBay towers. Keeping an eye on this one.
Royal Mail are crap at the moment I waited nearly two weeks for something I brought off eBay wasn’t the seller’s fault.I’m still watching your videos , where is the jelly cat kid 🍦
@@MasterofPieces it's probably the main thing I'm nervous about in order to give this a go as a hobby. Too much and add extra weight/cost, not enough and something gets broke
A general observation - I sent a birthday card first post .... it was delivered 4 days later, 2 days late... Royal Mail..... Put a disclaimer that you use RM and you're not responsible once posted?
I think that they are being more ‘realistic’ with their prices. However, it is annoying when items, usually clothing, get priced up just because of the brand name.
‘Over pricing everything’ My local charity shop has a blanket policy of £1 for ANY item of clothing. They seem to be happy making their money from electrical and furniture sales.
Hi Ian! Love you content please keep it up! I sent you a message on ebay about a tmnt lunchbox I was told you may know something about? Any help would be great! Please keep up with the channel its great! 👍

I learn something each time I watch you Ian, great content 👌
Ha love to hear it
Loving the videos Ian, learning loads and now looking at a wider variety of things. Thanks mate 👍👊
Love that beerad
to make sure you do not lose your top seller rating for a late delivery add the tracking number when you mark as dispatched
I use drop and go so would mean manually typing every one in. Would take a while and this has only happened once tbh
Google lens allows you to copy and paste text from a receipt, a real time save especially for long long tracking numbers.

Yeah just got to be patient and accept its not all massive big hitting items. Key an eye on the goals and do what you need to to get them

I notice you don’t have your socials on your videos? Maybe they’re somewhere else?
Keep up the good work!

Why would it matter when I upload the tracking number though? It still shows when I post it even after uploading it after the dispute was raised.

Sorry, didn’t see your comment; I’ve said something very similar. I thought that tracking uploads automatically, if postage bought through eBay? 15:31

you can remove the late deliver mark and contest it.

Hi Ian are penny boards worth picking up as the local charity shop has one at £6.00...
Check solds my friend. Make sure they're actual penny boards too

To save this issue just add the tracking to the item as soon as you have sent it. Then you don't even have anything like this come up.
