First time watcher, and fast subscriber. I’m a reseller who’s feeling that repetition burn out and this is a great idea that I’m going to do myself. Great video!
Your videos are very professionall top job
Thank you very much 👍🏻
I can highly recommend York Racecourse car boot which is on Saturdays.
It is a huge car boot, with a good variety of sellers.
One of my favourite car boot sales.
Give it a try Dave.
It’s on my to do list 👍🏻
It was nice to meet you at St Michael's the other day. 🙏
Likewise mate 👍🏻
4:10 Good, fair bargaining there 😊
I need to get better at being better when i buy. I see of get a price and i dont cut them down. Im learning from you!!
Great video dave fantastic pick ups once again
Also, Otley car boot isn't the best. Quite small but easy to get around. A lot of leeds Bradford sellers go to otley straight after. On the plus, there's a pub round the corner. Banging on a Sunday morn 👍🏻
Great info. Thank you.
Pioneer CDJ's, what a bargain!
Dave, if you go Leeds Bradford again, take a left down the lower field. The right side are mostly businesses. The left side are mostly regulars decluttering. Better for the bargains 👍🏻
Hi.
I had this kind of a situation a week ago. I visited that carboot for the first time. At one stall I saw Nike running shoes. I asked the lady how much are they. I said ok thank you I will look them up. I started to check them on my phone. She said it’s wrong, people shouldn’t be doing it and I’m not going to have those shoes, she will not sell them to me.
It just doesn't make sense. If it happens again, just offer them 3 times what they're asking (jokingly). Just to see their reaction lol
Isn’t making quick cash and benefitting others exactly what they’re doing in any case though?
If a price is agreed, a sale is made. If it isn’t agreed, then there’s no sale.
Why would a seller care what happens to their item after they’ve received what they want for it?
@@ABLReselling I think it's because carboots are mainly for those who need it, I personally grew up poor, knew a lot of people very poor, we got everything we needed from the carboots. Now it's a hell of a lot harder to get good things from the bootsale for affordable prices because resellers get there at the crack of dawn to make bank off of it.
Those I've spoken to like knowing that their items are going to someone who needs it or will personally enjoy it themselves and I've bought things from some people who purposefully charge 2-3x more to resellers but super cheap to casual people. When I do a bootsale, I don't sell to resellers, at all.
I don't want a reseller to benefit, I want someone who wants it, to get a great price and be happy with it.
You're one of the better ones I've seen tbh, I really have a disliking for the resellers who haggle and drive down the price to an extreme when they're already getting a great bargain.
On another topic, I cant even begin to recount how many times I've been walking to an item that I might want, only to have a reseller charge over grab as much as they can and then try to buy the whole lot super cheap just to resell.
@@whygamingwhy2404 That makes sense , however say for instance you resell on eBay , people who want that item but can’t afford retail prices would rather pay a cheaper price on eBay ,so resellers are providing that service .
@@DANNYMACLIFE Not really, when your poor you're really not that picky. Going through the carboots now any decent shoes get taken.
And you've got to remember, these resellers want the premium prices for their items, they almost always list it at or even above competitors. So at that point it's not benefitting anyone but themselves.
If they at least sold it cheaper than average fair enough.
Great video as ever :)

Great videos dave and a new subscriber in me, I’m a beginner at carboots and selling, have you got any tips or smaller items to start on just to get some confidence going? Cheers
I started out on board games.
The best thing to do is get comfortable with researching everything.
@@ABLReselling thanks for the reply mate, would you say eBay sold prices is the most solid place to research prices?
@@dec91808 Definitely mate. It’s the best way to learn.
