Derek Smith - if you’re running the stock forks on the Aggressor and plan to ride the bike for awhile then yes, I recommend the upgrade. I am very happy with them. They don’t make as much noise but the shock is much smoother when it compresses.
@@MTBTrailRider thanks man, yea I've had two aggressors probably six years and the sentimental value has grown strong , so I might as well upgrade them since I'm going to keep them. I've had bad crashes and they are bullet proof. Thanks again for your time. Keep the videos coming dude, you're good at it.
Will you be riding with other people to shuttle? If not, it's ok. I just don't like climbing so I usually ride with guys who want to shuttle up the mountain. haha If you're NOT going to shuttle, I recommend parking at the bottom boat ramp which is where High Voltage and LiveWire 2 end/start. When looking at trailforks its the northwest corner of the trail system. From there you will need to climb LiveWire 2 and LiveWire 1. It's a long 4.5 mile climb up 1,700 ft. But once you get to the top you'll have a lot of fun. From there you will take East Rim which will be to your left once you finish your climb. While on East Rim, about .5 - .7 miles in you will see a wooden fence on the right with a white sign. Thats the entrance to the freeride skills area known as CHUNKY. If you're into freeriding, drops, rock climbing, etc this is the spot. There is a trail that loops around the features and will bring you back to the entrance. When you enter chunky, I usually ride the loop left. There are a lot of different features throughout so feel free to explore! Once you get back out of Chunky, continue East Rim to the Chattanooga Overlook (Electric Avenue 1) - there are some picnic tables there with a good lookout over chattanooga. From Electric Avenue, take Laurel Point to Split Rock to High Voltage. High Voltage is a black trail, downhill (which is featured in this video) and is about 3.5 miles long with 1,480 ft of descent. This kicks you out where you started at the boat ramp. If you want to get more miles in, you can loop the Tennessee River Gorge when you get on laurel point, but I usually skip that and just descend High Voltage.
Imagine a more high end GT Aggressor hardtail with better components and aggressive slack geometry u would never need to buy a new bike. The aggressor is Indestructible
Man I rode split rock last night and it kicked my butt and once off the side of the mountain. Check it out LowCountry Mountain Biker. The switch backs are sick

FirstOfficerSwaney - it’s been handling nicely for me! Like you said, components need an upgrade

Awesome! Split rock is fun, but to be honest, most of the trails at Raccoon MTN are fun. haha
