Brilliant mate. Wouldn’t have worried about drinking the tarn water. You only really have to boil it. That filter you had is terrible if those bits in the water was after it had been filtered. Might be worth getting some purification tablets for peace of mind. All part of the learning experience. Looking forward to the next one. Cheers mate 😁
You are a great human being Adam. Many viewers empathise with you about the world and the escapism you offer means thousands are with you when you go out and capture spectacular scenery in nature. I feel as though I am walking next to you and its me your telling and showing.Other channels are good but do not project that mood. Keep going mate.
Wow I must say those drone shots were absolutely spectacular, what a beautiful place! Really enjoying the content bro we Can't wait for the next installment 👌 keep it up!
Wonderful drone shots and photography of the uk’s finest spots. Well done for capturing this. I can’t help noticing that maybe you are not enjoying the trips as much as the earlier ones. It seems things bother you quicker. Hope you’re feeling okay 😊
What a fantastic location, as long as you boil the water it will be ok to drink the colour is only because of the peat. I'm looking forward to the next two parts, that area you found is just stunning. Love the drone footage showing Adam Island up in the mountains u know u know.
Awesome buddy always worth the effort to reach those camps, looking at your camp position there looked like two flat Plato's the other side maybe those might be worth looking at another time, but still giving a cracking view, overall another good watch 👍
Only come across your channel recenty but having a binge on them!! Love yr energy dude, crackin content. You got yrself 2 new Lake District wild camper subs 🤘☮️💫
You always leave me with a smile and looking forward to the episode. Boil the water I’m no expert but at least it would make me feel better about drinking it. I would definitely need more coffee!
Love it! 😀 Moel Ysgyfarnogod was one of my first hikes into the Rhinogs! That miners track you found was one of the few places I've found where there's complete silence (when the wind drops, natch). You camped on Llyn Dywarchen - handy for navigation & not much else :-D The Rhinogs is somewhere I've ALWAYS ended up with wet feet at some point - it's hard to avoid bog-snorkeling even on mountain tops. Also, Biscuits, Brown is one of my fave hilltop snacks - try pairing them with some of the radioactive cheese-style paste you get in MREs too (yes I take them with me ha ha). I've been meaning to email you a few sneaky spots up there - who knows you might already have found some of them. Looking forward to the next instalment!
Thank you for sharing this first one with us Adam. Some darn good views up their man out in the middle of nowhere too lovely jubbly. Let’s hope you come across some sort of stream soon 🤞🏻. Take care mate looking forward to the next episode buddy .
Big up yourself for doing this it is a legendary camp. I’m not a seasoned camper myself but it looks epic already, can’t wait for the next time you upload, puffin the bill and Ben with Mother Nature is fuckin awesome. Keep on bringing us the good stuff it’s really good what you are doing instead of just doing the car camping but that’s awesome anywayz but mixing it up keeps everyone happy I do know what you’re up against. All the best mate . Millzey
Adam grab yourself a lifestyle or sawyer mini water filter, I have a hydramate, you can drink from most water sources and yes peat water is always a different colour! Also grab some chlorine tablets they are a must! Well done you for achieving your goal! Plus use your hiking poles to navigate through rocky and boggy terrain it will save you busting an ankle . Plus always make sure have a map and compass , you can navigate for freshwater . Awesome! 🙂
Great video Adam fantastic views and wish you all the best for your adventure. The water is ok as long as you boil it. Take care of yourself. Maybe you can find some running water somewhere in the near. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you . Looking forward to seeing your next video 👍❤️❤️❤️
Awesome video buddy. I got my mini 4 pro a few days ago and I have been testing out the tracking feature. You should include some tracking footage in your videos 🤩👍🤘
Invest in a Millbank Bag Adam, it'll remove the detritus (floaters) from the water & they're not expensive (between £10 - £15). Also invest in a decent water filter (something like a Sawyer Mini or similar) as the one you have doesn't appear to be working very well. As someone else mentioned you should've had some sterilisation tablets in the MRE kit, they will leave an aftertaste though. Bringing the water to a rolling boil should kill most of (but not all) the nasties. Drinking unfiltered water is risky, at best you may get the squirts, or worst case scenario become very ill.
Brilliant place what views wonderful shame about the water hope you find some as you walk about beautiful place in nice weather but I bet not the best place to be caught out as the Welsh weather can be really bad even in summer great video great place and no sight of a cow real or pumped up lol you’re going to here about the cow suit for a while take care my mate ❤
cool vid mate, gutted about your water problem tho,,, so,,, you could make a gypsy well mate, use the grass around ya to filter it aswell. ie suck it up through it. It was rising a bit due to the moons grav. pull. Better still, if you can, dig a hole 2m away from the lake, the water will rise in it. prefiltered. yeah itll look a bit muddy when you first do it, but, it will get clearer. Overall tho, theres a saying,, "loadsa bubbles, no troubles" ... boil the eff out of it in other words. 5 mins+ is fine. But most important of all,,, look in your MRE pack,, it should have some water purification tabs. 👍👍 looking forward to seeing how you get through this dude. chin up, keep calm & carry on.
The rock in the background is the Alisa Craig, apparently the only place in the world they mined for the granite for the curling stones 🥌. Great channel 🏴👍
That water, filtered and boiled, would be ok. Those ration packs normally come with puritabs. Taste a bit like bleach, but make the water safe. I remember, Biscuits brown, with cheese processed, that takes me back.
Adam thanks for showing of the Area I live in one of the very few remote cottages just a few miles north east of Where you parked it’s beautifully wild but can be seriously extreme when the weather turns stay safe up there and remember mountain rescue are only about 5 miles from you🤪🤪
oh wow .... i didnt think people really lived in them that far out 😉, wonderful it must be a fantastic place to live although im guessing you can get quite cut off in the winter ..... thank goodness i didnt need mountain rescue id feel terrible about it if i ever had to use them
In the MREs drinks bag should be some sterilisation tablets to add to ya water once you've boiled it for 10 mins. 😉 On that one 😂. The MREs are also designed to reduce the urge to need the toilet 🤪
Great Vid Adam, can’t believe how much u paid for the 24 hr packs, I only pay 8-10 for them down here, spooky but next vid is about the 24 hr pack unwarranted and cooking😎👍🏻
European and American people dont seem to know this, i thought you would from your time living away, but if you need water and it seems unclean, like this pond water, you just boil it while collecting the steam and allowing the steam to drip into a clean container, you then have clean drinkable water without bugs in it.
Great 👍 video looking forward 2 d ending I just paid a deposit for my NCFE Level3 accreditation qualification Certification in Bushcraft skills course I wish I had ur confidence to stay in d wild but then again it's only been my 2st year and all d peeps I follow r seasoned pros my aim in doin d bush craft course is to find a school I could help every two months for free just to b part of d team
So you're gonna be living on military rations for 3 days? hope you don't have any biscuits AB LOL, the AB was meant to stand for Alternative Bread but trust me a more apt meaning was Anul Brockage lol but the did give you a pack of sweets which if you ate too many had eactly the opposite effect. ps Welcome to Wales
ha ha ha ha your so right it hurts... i take it youve eaten the 'old school' packs then with the tins..... ha ha ha.. we used to call them 'Winalots' as in, dog biscuits, cos they got holes in them and taste about the same. ha ha ha
certainy have mate lolol, use to love the old tins of bacon grill and mixed fruit pud, but always hate the so called tin of meat paste lolol uuggghhhh horrible stuff
