Covid-19 brought the concept of OneHealth to the fore and we all now know how much our health is linked to the health status of wild animals. A rapid response to emerging diseases can be the key to success. Rapid local identification of signs of changes in wildlife is therefore necessary. Only we hunters can notice these almost imperceptible signs. We are the eyes of the beholder, the hands of the toucher, we are the sentinels of global health.
In collaboration with @mc_hunting_life (Dott.Mario Chiari) "Path-Finders" is born, an interactive column in which we will talk about infectious diseases, parasitic diseases and biological aspects of wildlife that directly affect the hunting world.
@mc_hunting_life , thanks to his experience in the field, will help us to understand more deeply some of the fundamental principles for a correct sanitary management of wildlife.
Il Covid-19 ha portato alla ribalta il concetto di OneHealth e ora tutti sappiamo quanto la nostra salute sia legata allo stato sanitario degli animali selvatici. Una rapida risposta alla comparsa di malattie emergenti può essere la chiave del successo. È necessaria quindi una rapida identificazione a livello locale di segni di alterazione nella fauna. Solo noi cacciatori possiamo accorgerci di questi quasi impercettibili segnali. Sono nostri gli occhi di chi guarda, le mani di chi tocca, siamo noi le sentinelle della salute globale.
In collaborazione con @mc_hunting_life nasce “Path-Finders”, una rubrica interattiva nella quale parleremo di malattie infettive, parassitosi ed aspetti biologici della fauna che interessano direttamente il mondo venatorio.
@mc_hunting_life grazie alla sua esperienza in materia ci aiuterà a comprendere più a fondo alcuni dei principi fondamentali per una corretta gestione sanitaria della fauna selvatica.
