    In some of the older printed books I had seen the still life with animals, or birds included in with fruit, or flowers. as if were invited to a back yard woodland garden. Think the artist was German. There were several created by English , and German Artist in the book. In the old book it included many Crosshatch wild life. I recall the detail in the directions in of lines. Big fat hard cover Dutch/German Bibles. Somewhere I still may have some of the pictures from the book, which my mother would remove. The books were old, and parts were in a fire. I recall the pictures of the art had tracing paper included, as to protect the art prints within the Bible. My Sister just recently gave some of the better books away to friends who spoke the language. I myself am trying to just stick to one type or Realism with wildlife. I am 75, and after all these years managed to have enough art supplies, time to Paint. while one would say Starving Artist. I am borrowing someone internet service, while pet sitting. At moment the modern day phones are no longer in my price range to use. Bell company had discount of 8 dollars a month if one use 30 calls a month or less. And if I were to have the use of internet, and a few other additives included to my phone bill, I would have to give up my cat. I do not feel my age, thankfully, but do know I am on borrowed time. Most of my friends since passed.

    Beautiful artwork 😍 I really love it, however, I was very surprised that you use spray paints without a protective mask. In another ad, a child used spray paint without a mask. Some of them are water-based, but the pigments are still toxic when inhaled with small particles…

    It is absolutely gorgeous .The color combination is very attractive. If you could let me know, what kind of spray paint were you using? Do you have oil sprays? Something new to me.

    • @milanartapp
      @milanartapp  Рік тому

      She’s using water-based spray paint. There are three good brands: Montana, sugar and liquitex. All three make great colors. You want to make sure that you use the spray paint BEFORE putting any oils on your painting and once you do put oils and can only use lacquer-based spray paint, otherwise the painting won’t be archival and it’ll chip and crack over time and the paint will peel off.

    Should you spray 'touchup varnish' inbetween the acrylic layer and the oil layer to make sure the oil sticks to the plastic? I've been told you should, but I'm not sure and you never talk about that so interested what you do

    Hi, I'm trying to paint in this new process to me where I've always painted in a realistic fashion. Meaning what I see is what I paint, the light and shadows are already there. Now I'm blocking in colors and using images from different sources that all have different lighting. So my question is how do you consider the light source when painting abstract portraits? and is the lighting consistent throughout the painting?

  • @loveandreyev4950

    I had a few questions! Where did you source the reference image? Was it created by the artist?

    • @milanartapp

      She created the source by combining over 15 different images😊

    Isn’t it copying when you look at other pictures and paint the same on your canvas? I am an artist and always asked that question. Can you advise?

    • @gradosa8272
      @gradosa8272 9 місяців тому

      I used to work in a place and the rule of thumb was if you change 30% of the image and only use the general feeling it’s ok and your creation. Any other way it’s a copy and you can’t claim or profit it as yours. If you copy is for practical purposes and to develop your skills. Good luck. BTW changing the palette is not enough to count in the 30%.😂😂😂
