I am a proud owner of a 225hp Plugin Hybrid Citroen C5X. It is such a refined and exclusive car! Couldn´t be happier!! I highly recommend it. Congratulations Citroen
How far can you realistically drive before battery depletion? Appreciate that depends on style but just want to get an idea based on mix of town and some motorway driving (which typically ranges from 20-60 miles a time). Do you need to charge it every day? Thanks in advance.
@@johngoogleuser3764 hello! The maximum I was able to do was 67 km on one charge. I do a 120km motorway drive regularly and it takes all battery and fuel consumption is arround 4-4,5l/100km for the 120kms. I would say that a mix of motorway and town will lead to a 45-55kms range depending on weather conditions and using regeneration or not! Hope it helps. Feel free for any more questions
…just test drove the C5X and I was blown away by it’s driving comfort related to suspension as well as absence of noise… considering the price its especially amazing 🤩
Testdrove a C5 X Plugin Hybrid recently and, as a longtime Citroën-owner, was impressed by the smooth ride-comfort. A suitable highway-cruiser. Planning on replacing my current C5 Tourer by one later this year.
I have had my Citroen C5x for 2 years now. It is just the basic Sense Plus model with the 1.2 Puretech engine. I regularly drive across Europe from the U.K. to Italy. The 1.2 engine is fantastic. Very economical and silent in the cruise. It has plenty enough power and will cruise all day at 100 mph where allowed. The economy of the 1.2 engine gives the car a huge range. I only have to refill once between during the 1400 kilometres journey. Driving at a steady 120 kph the car gives me 51.2 mpg. Another bonus of the 1.2 is that it is cheap to service. My car has not missed a beat in two years and 48,000 kilometres. Save your money if you want a C5x and avoid the hybrid. The battery in the hybrid is very heavy and when you do not have battery power, the 1.6 engine has to lug all that weight around. That ruins the fuel economy and performance. Unfortunately only the hybrid has the active suspension
C 0:38 an't understand your 30mpg on C5X...just completed 180 mile journey starting off with fully charged battery..ending obviously with no charge left and yet still got 57mpg..???? Would not change my C5X .. excellent car. (59mpg was on the return 90 mile journey with battery on 0%)
We wanted to demonstrate that you can find a good car for motorway driving at a variety of price points and that you don't have to restrict yourself to a particular bodystyle or only premium manufacturers.
One issue I discovered with the Q7 is it's width. In maay car parks, especially in parts of London it was painful to park. I would find it interesting to look at some more compact cars that were also good on motorways, OR much more practical load luggers. Which frankly on lly the VW here really is.
I've had a '22 Citroen C5X plugin-hybrid for 6 months - Great car, loving it. That said, I was tempted by a VW Arteon and also a Volvo v90 when buying. I'm really not sure I even considered an Audi Q7, due to the financial and car type differences. Really not sure why they've compared the Q7 with the other 2 cars.

In Denmark you can only get the 1.6 hybrid ....reason why im not getting a c5x
Please don't recommend people the 1.2 PT engine because it sounds like crypto-ad from a psa brand manager...
As someone with a Skoda who used to have a VW, I will never buy a VW group car again. So unreliable. I’ll take the Citroen.

A very strange miss match of cars with a huge price difference

Great car great suspension engine a heap of JUNK CITROEN PLEASE UPGRADE TO @ LEAST A 2.2LITRE PLEASE PRETTY PLEASE 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Great overview. I have a relative with an Arteon and it's an excellent car, particularly on the highway.
It's very refined at high speed.
I’ve got a great idea for a video, why don’t you get 3 random cars and do a motorway group test, by testing them on a motorway 😂
Entirely different budgets so comparison is pointless.
