Every one of her freckles represents each life she saved.
aww that's the sweetest thing I've ever heard! ♥️
Such a sweet thing to say! Siobhan is great!
Violin MD You’re welcome! And thank you for your videos. You make hospitals look less scary with every video you make!
SO Gorgeous and Compassionate💖~ALL Doctors Should Take a Lesson🤓:)
DAtroopa King. Aww that's so nice 💜🌿
I remember I subbed because of how she always raises her eyebrows when she states her year like it's an adventure.
hahahah that's amazing, never realized i do that! 😂
I only just noticed that it's been pointed out and i have been subscribed for years.
@@ViolinMD can you start including more doctors in your vlogs well the ones who are comfortable being on camera.
Every vlog looks like an adventure! Mysteries to solve (labs and images), meeting new characters (new specialists, interns, and residents), seeing familiar faces, and feeling like you are right there in the middle of it all. I have been binge watching for a few days and enjoying every minute! ☺️
Baden Clure she does
This badass woman is a doctor who is on call for 26 hours AND films amazing/ educational content .
That is AMAZING
And she plays violin
GOOD at it to
you KNOW when you hear that clapping music it's gonna be a good one
it gets me hype every time. Same with the pager going OFF!!
I'm the same....why are we all so invested in this? lol
I'm not even in the medical field but your personality keeps me watching !
thanks for saying that Joshua, appreciate it!
@@ViolinMD Huh. These videos make me want to be a healthcare provider, but I don't know if I could handle it. What would your advice possibly be? It is so hard to determine what to do as a career.
Same:))
same
Same I’m so scared
The pager handover always makes me smile (: the music suits it perfectly
hahah that big moment!
✨🤩✨🤩✨🤩✨ lol Thats what i see.
The nightmare item.
I was just about to say that before I saw your comment!
She should record that music herself on violin
Wow.. im so used to you saying 2nd year. I can’t believe how fast you have progressed and come!!
hahah crazy isn't it?!
Samee
Is 3rd year the last internist residency year?
She better make bank for all these hours omg
Tabby Smith she’s a resident so she’s not making bank
@@youdontneedtoknow9980 don't worry she'll be making a few 100k after residency, whereas many jobs pay less than even what residency does
She is probably making more from youtube right now than her resident salary.
Residents don’t get paid well, and IM doctors who don’t specialize often don’t make much compared to specialists, unfortunately
...or maybe she decided to become a doctor because she feels helping people is the prime objective rather than remuneration.
She said “I’m so surrie” Canadians are so adorable
thats why i stan shawn mendes (if you cant tell by my profile)
surry*
No Canadians say sorry, Americans say sarry
@@alyssabeth6177 which ones?
I missed the 26 hour call shifts so much! I find them so interesting and entertaining at the same time!
So glad to hear that - thanks Eva!
@@ViolinMD No, thank you Siobhan! You have helped me pretty much save my Dad's life. I was able to detect that something went wrong with his breathing thanks to the hospital vlogs! You are a hero in my eyes. I cant thank you enough! 💕
Eva Rose wow amazing girl !
@@greenlion7355 Support like this is amazing! I was interviewed for my local newspaprr and I was wondering why because it was just an instinct! I was just doing the right thing and a month later I did not think much of it, I am still stopped on the streets in my town and they say "You are incredible"
Me to eva
Every time she says "Hey guys! I'm Siobhan a second/third year medical resident" she gains a freckle.
Or soon a rheumatology fellow
So happy that you got the field you wanted siobhan
imagine LITERALLY bringing someone back to life like what- the power-
Liv McGrath it’s not always a happy result though. Lots of damage can be done when your organs don’t get oxygen for so many minutes. Plus chest compressions cause rib fractures and it can be brutal the older you are.
Quit3Cut3 yea but better than being dead???
Olivia Gonzales so being a brain dead vegetable that just sits there hooked up to machines to keep you going is your idea of fun? Yeah ok! Personally I’d rather be dead than just a body with no remainder of who I was just lying there.
Olivia Gonzales I see it literally everyday, it’s the saddest thing. Especially when it’s a younger person and the family is in denial of how they won’t ever function as a normal person again.
Quit3Cut3 technically, the younger you are the more chances you have to not make it if your heart stops beating :((
Always exciting and intensifying whenever there is ‘Code Blue’ in the title🙌🔥
Hope you enjoy!! I tried to give more details this time!
I hope they will continue to heal
I wouldn't say exciting since It can be dangerous
Just got an acceptance into medical school and watching your videos is making me so excited for everything that's ahead!! omg!!
wow CONGRATS ESTHER!!
Congratulations!!!
Esther Seow congrats and good luck.
I hope that you get into the field you are hoping for
What school are you going to
Still haven't a clue how I found this channel! But have to say how glad I did. Quality stuff 👌
You’re videos are so down to earth. And very informative
Thank you!
As a EMT, I would love to see a video about transfer of patient care from the ambulance in the emergency department! Love your videos!
Brandon Lurtey as someone randomly interested in paramedic/Ambulance I’d also enjoy this as a video
As someone who doesn’t know anything about medicine, I would also like to see this video 😂😊
She’s not in emergency medicine
@@ic718708 she still probably knows enough to at least talk through the process. She's done videos with ICU nurses and people in other specialties before so it could happen.
Brandon Lurtey YESSS THAT WOUDL BE AWESOME
I can't wait till she says" and Im an attending "
Your an absolute angel helping others in need when their sick or Hurt. My nanny was un hospital with fluid gathering in her lungs and my other nanny had a cardiac arrest but she survived. I had covid after my 13th birthday but after about 5 days I was better and able to go to a Belfast giants game. I appreciate the work you do.
Love Skarloey x
I don't know how you stay so calm knowing that your pager could go off at any point! I love these videos!
haha MANY nights... wasn't calm at first in medical school!!
I’ve always wanted to be a doctor and in the last 2 3 years I just felt I couldn’t do it but I found your channel a few weeks ago and watching you do this made me motivated again to try even harder and realise why my whole life I’ve wanted to be a doctor. Thank you! ❤️
I wish more schools showed things like this almost shadowing positions to kids in lower communities I always thought being a doctor was out of reach this makes it more humanizing and obtainable goal

Yaaay! I clicked immediately when I see the notif. Missed you! 😍
Hi Essah - great to see you!!
I have had a life long fear of doctors and hospitals. Watching your videos is helping change that for me.
that really means a lot, thank you for letting me know Ryne!
You were way too cheery and happy while saying you were about to start a 26 HOUR shift
I dread going to my 8 hour job every morning 😂
And I love your videos, even though I’m not in the medical field, i find them very interesting and informative.
You are such a GREAT doctor, violinist, and woman. Your videos inspire and encourage me to pursue a career path in the medical field, watching you do your daily duties make me realize that I do care about people, and clearly you do as well . You always think of your patients first and want the best for them. You’ve changed my perspective on my career journey. Although I’m only 16, I think I’m gonna become a doctor . 😄👩⚕️
Honestly, if every doctor and medical personnel were like you, the world would be such a better place.
I'm an RN who's so so about working in health care. Everytime I watch your videos you inspire me to appreciate my job even more. You're so cool! Love your essence Dr. Siobhan
You are one amazing human Siobhan. I’ve been binge watching you for the last few days, going from first year to third resident, it’s just incredible.
You can’t be thanked enough for what you do.
Love from Australia 🇦🇺💜
I love how in such stressful & sad situations you can still maintain staying calm and happy!
Great job Siobhan! So excited to have seen how much you have grown and become more and more confident in your journey to become a doctor.
Thanks Leigh - it's amazing how much you learn and grow in just a few years!
Your happy face when you succeeded in bringing the patient back to life is wonderful!!!
Wow....I know I’m a little late but this inspires me to learn CPR. I love your personality and your smile.....you make me feel a lot calmer about going to an ER or doctor appointment. I know now that you guys are very well trained and ready for anything. I will trust every doctor expect the one that didn’t take that good care of my mom when she was pregnant with my late big brother.....yet again that was years ago and they didn’t have the good technology that they have now. Thank you so much for taking up this hard job to help people in need.
I've had pneumonia for almost a week now throwing up,coughing, hacking feeling really crummy and I was so happy to see a new video from you made me feel a little bit better.thanks
Your videos always help me keep my eye on the prize. I’m in nursing school now but plan to head to med school after. Thank you endlessly for all that you do! ❤️
so glad to hear that - thank you! good luck on your journey! ❤️
I can watch an hour of this and not get bored. Your personality is amazing and you're so knowledgeable.
Working on 4 years of nursing here. I love that you are always smiling, even if it's just with your tired voice. 🥰 I hope you never lose that. Somehow watching you helps to remind me of the gift we have been given. To have the ability and desire to simply help others. That's what it's all about.
Oh my gosh the part where you put the pager on killed me 😂😂💗
Missed you and these 26 hour call shifts
Clicked right when I saw you uploaded 😁
Hi Sabina! wonderful - great to see you!
Sabina Gonzalez-Vela same
I love her intro she sounds so freaking excited! Keep going you’re the best!
I love seeing how your day goes! I spent a lot of time in the hospital with my husband, now deceased, and it reminds me that there are good times and bad times. Thank you.
I always look forward to your videos! They are so fascinating. I’m glad you’re back. :)
You are incredible and I admire your passion and optimistic way of life. Thank you 🙏🏻
I love these video’s! You’re a great teacher and have a way of explaining things that makes me understand. It’s truly a gift ❤
I really love how quickly you got up. Really shows how much you care. Amazing human. Saved a life.
Yay your back , we missed you Siobhan 🤗🤗🤗I get so excited I clicked so fast

Hi! You are such a delight! You have such a radiant personality. I love watching your videos :) You are entertaining, respectful, and informative all at the same time. I adore how you explain medical terminology. 👩🏻⚕️ Thank you for helping me work through my fear of hospitals and doctors! All the best from California!
i always wait for your call shift videos to come out!! as a nursing student, it gives me good insight on what it’s like to work in a hospital! so much love and respect for all the doctors, you’re doing great girl!!!
The dramatic music as he hands you the pager 😂😂😂😂 as always, intense and wonderful blog. Thank you!!!!
Martina Quarati lmaoo my fav part!!
My favorite way to start Saturday...a new video from you.
Thank you for all that you do Siobhan!! You take it all in stride and help make medicine understandable. You're a real credit to the Ontario medical system. Sorry you have to deal with all of the cutbacks happening more and more. Keep up the great work and awesome videos. Love looking back to see your updated intros from 1st year, to 2nd and now to 3rd year!!!
To the patients, you're their life-saver. And you take us along for the ride. Phew! Never miss a heartbeat! You're so great! Love watching these videos and learning all the lovely medical terms.
She is so beautiful and her voice is so soothing!😊
I’ve coded three times with a pe. A month later we found a second pe this time a bilateral saddle pe. Turns out I have a second inferior vena cava which let the clot skip the filter I have. Today I went to the er since I was having chest pains but turns out it was anxiety. I appreciate the hard work of the entire medical teams I’ve been cared for by!
Thank you for this video on your 26 hour on call in the ICU this definitely gives a true reflection of how rewarding medicine is even through the times of persevering when times are hard not to give up and this video and this channel is constantly growing siobhan and I have noticed you are a great role model and you don't give up in the time that are hard to persevere and carry on and that what makes a great Doctor in medicine as a whole and that's what your thriving in medicine as you are a great Doctor siobhan and your videos and medicine thrive with excellence that is also phenomenal
Thank you for your service Siobhan. I'm a huge fan and I'm so grateful for you taking the time to help us understand you guys in the medical field better! Keep up the great work. :D
The best part of my week is when you upload!
aw thanks Katrina!!
I love how she faked doing CPR on a mannequin to show us how the Code Blue was.
I started watching The Good Doctor, it’s an amazing show. And then I stumbled across you and immediately I couldn’t stop watching all your videos! You channel reminds me so much of that show, I love it! Such good content, and you make me feel like I’m a resident as well! I can’t wait to see more!
Another great video. I love the way you are always so cheerful. You explain things really well and in a way which is easy for those of us who are not doctors. Keep up the good work.
Im a first year medicine student and I'm honestly loving these vlogs! I've been (seriously) obsessively binge watching them these past few days and I'm in love 😍. The music, editing ugh everything!!! Great job Siobhan! 😊
ALL the BEST in Your Career😁!!
Love you Siobhan!! You’re such a hard worker - when is your residency done?
In love with your videos, you’re so informative and entertaining I love how you explain the medical terms I learned a lot so far about the medical field thanks to you! And now I know what really goes on behind the scenes, crazy to seem all of this goes on and never really had to time to realize how much hard work and long hours it takes! Can’t wait for your new videos 💕
The way you carry yourself really makes me want to improve on the way I carry myself at work! It’s really inspiring to see someone remain in such good spirits even when it’s busy and maybe overwhelming!! Thank you
You saved a persons life thank you so much you freaked me out when I wached it
It is soo good to hear "I am shioban DOCTOR in icu" 😊keep growing!!
I absolutely love your videos. I am not planning on going into the medical field but all of my aunts and grandmothers were nurses so when I watch these videos it lets me relate to there day to day life in the hospital. Thank you for letting us follow you on your journey!
You are an amazing lady, thank you for showing us your life. My mum died from COPD, it’s awful to watch your loved one suffer from this or any disease. Luv from Alberta
Yay! I always get so excited when I see a new video of yours pop out in my subs! :-)
It is hard when you realise that you have to work more on the computer than on the patients. At least in internal specialities. Great vid!
I stumbled upon your channel one day while looking for something to watch and I'm so glad I did. I live in Florida in the US, probably as far away from you in Canada as I could get lol but I LOVE watching your videos. You have so much enthusiasm for life its contagious.
You're so happy and positive in every video, it's baffling and amazing.
I’m a doctor in Brazil. Very interesting to see your work in Canada. Learning too.
And I complain about 10-12 hour shift 😌
😂😂😂
but really that's still long!!
Haha 😂
In Mexico we do 36hr shifts for interns and residents. The specialists or G.P.s Only do 8-12 hrs shifts. I lost a good amount of neurons during those shifts.
@@gaetanodragonetti3942 wtf 🙁 thats torture!
You seem so laid back and yet determined and caring. So many doctors in these hospitals want to get you in and out immediately. You’re terrific!
First video I watched I got hooked from your SMILE! It’s amazing you are able to be so externally happy during moment of stress and chaos. Looking forward to more videos!!
I was on “pressers” for 10 months leading up to heart transplant. They definitely do the trick but they aren’t much fun. Thankfully mine were delivered via PICC.
HI IM SO EXCITED YOU POSTED I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS SO MUCH
yay happy to hear it that Sara! Thanks!
I absolutely love your videos! Makes my day when I see that you've posted! We can tell you really enjoy what you do and that you're good at it. Keep on working hard like you do and thank you so much for your videos ♥
I absolutely love how positive & friendly she is at all times!!
Dr. Siobhan makes internal medicine so exciting
AHHHHHHHH FIRST I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS I AM SUBBED TO YOU AND I LEARNED SO MUCH MEDICAL STUFF BECAUSE OF YOU
Hi Nikki!! Wonderful to meet you!! Thank you so much!
I can’t believe how quickly Siobhan has jumped up to being one of my favorite youtubers. I love her sparkling personality and the way she helps her patients. Truly an inspiration 😊
As a nursing student this opens my eyes and give me an answer to the patients who are upset and question “where’s my doctor?”, and I haven’t seen the doctor either so I don’t know what they’re doing, but you guys are doing a ton, it’s cool to see behind the scenes from a different perspective before I become apart of a health care team
I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!!! CAN'T WAIT TO WATCH!!!
Izzy Kornblau love your videos too Izzy!
Thanks Izzy! and thank you for putting out videos raising awareness about gastroparesis ♥️
@@ViolinMD omg thank you!!!
I love you so much I really want to become a doctor because of you you have inspired me so much
I've been watching your videos for a while now. You are without a doubt, One of my favorite content creators. Your videos are fun and informative. Not being able to become a doctor myself, I enjoy watching the life of one. I hope you keep creating videos and being the friendly person that you are.
I'm SO happy with this video, it was one of the most exciting yet! I've been checking every day for her post, I've binged all of her videos already :)
Wow time fly's I still remember when she said first year
I am a 5 year med student (here in Argentina the career lasts 6 years) and i'm so looking foward to save lifes!
I am always so excited when i see a notification from you because your videos are so informative and interesting. Much love from Germany
The fact you're dealing with life and death situations, and then are able to explain calmly what's happening is just amazing. I truly couldn't imagine what you deal with or facing what you do daily. Like completely different worlds
Yep… discovering the joy of admin and paperwork in healthcare here too ! That wasn't on the sign at the entrance :p Thanks for the video again, i wonder how long it takes you to do the editing, voice over and all, for a video like this ?
Whenever i go to a hospital to visit a loved one and i hear code red or code blue my anxiety goes from 0 to 100.
or if a hurricane is gonna make landfall
Just wanna say thank you for saving lives. And when you talk about patients it´s with so much respect.
I love your videos so much!!! They show you what actually happens in the hospital and I feel like I learn something every time I watch your videos!! I just do excited when you post a video. My favourite videos you post are the day in the life ones but I love them all!!❤️❤️❤️
That code blue in the beginning brought me tears. It was the first time i ever heard that and didnt know what it meant until they told us my moms heart had suddenly stopped. It was the worst day of my life. Pray for all the angels in heaven. ♥️😢
