This was a book, deck and spread sheet set when it was first published by Llewellyn and was the first tarot deck I bought back in the late 1990's. Not really a deck suitable for someone absolutely new to tarot. For that reason I still have the deck stored in the original box. Even the colour palette isn't my style but I do love the cards. My one gripe is the detail in the cards would be better suited to an oracle sized card. I had been deeply into the Arthurian legend for a number of decades which influenced my choice. I still feel that you need an understanding of the Arthurian legend if you are to make headway with the deck.
Thats a very fair point and I agree that often some decks do have lots of detail in that they don't cover in the books or are too small to be clear on the cards. some decks seem to be better suited for other styles of working than others. I love this deck, I also got lucky on Ebay a long time ago and this deck was in a jib lot I bought for not very much money. I had to purchase the book separate but that was fine. I am really glad to have it 🥰💖

@@madwitch9977 great idea, take the deck into the Chalice Well gardens and get them out by the well head and look at the images. It’ll change your relationship with it forever. ❤️
@@madwitch9977 when it first came out, i did. however, the blank spaces at the top of the minors bothered me. i purchased it again once i learned that modifying decks is a thing, but the cards became too small and by then i was reading pip decks. this one has lovely, clear pips in the boxes and that beautiful artwork. the cards are a nice size and there isn't that inconsistency which bothers me so much 💙
