As a german myself i have to say this. We have trains yes. And we have quite a lot. As a matter of fact we have one of the densest train networks in the world. But they are NOT reliable.

As a German, I would like to point out: - Our uiversal healthcare doesn't cover nearly as much as you would like to think. Parents of children with disabilites, for example, must often fight for official support status for years. And oftentimes if you have private insurance (which is forced upon you after achieving a certain amount of income), you get fucked over even harder (happened to my grandfather, you was a DOCTOR!) - We are, in fact, very religious in Germany, with the north more leaning towards being protestant, and the south being aggressively catholic - I'm sure most Germans would report a reasonable level of patriotism, we just don't outwardly display it as much as Americans do. That is actually not uncommon for a lot of different nations. But if there's a soccer game going on, we will let you know we're German! - Again, heavier gun regulations are not uncommon in a lot of different countries. Germany isn’t disaster free, they are often less visually violent like a tornado, but we also get draughts and floods. Sturdy brickhouses are really good at dealing with both of them, without any extra energy expenditure, especially if these conditions switch relatively quickly.
