*Really* wish the Sonic movies had something just like what The Super Mario Bros. Movie had. In fact, why not hire Brian Tyler himself to compose all the Sonic music in the the third installment?
@@jwroot Yeah. The reason why they don’t use Sonic music is because Jeff said in the Director’s commentary for Sonic 2 “it won’t fit the orchestra”. The Mario movie disproves this statement and shows that videogame music and be turned into orchestra. However, I think some Sonic music is held back due to copyright issues and licensing. Hopefully for the 3rd movie, we get a lot more videogame music!

@ARadomSonicTuber hopefully that could happen because I'm someone that really doesn't mind or Have a single issue with license music in movies especially with the Sonic Movies since I really love them. And I think it would be really awesome if they got Crush 40 you know Johnny Gioeli and Jun Senoue and I recently saw them at The Sonic Symphony in Los Angeles inside the Dobly Theater and man on man they literally Crushed the Hell out of that stage.

Top 4 Favorites:
1. 10:33 Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games - Theme
Fits really well to what I would imagine seeing in a movie ost.
2. 16:48 Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS - Main Theme
Fits awesomely, and it also fits the best during the final lap of the course.
3. 06:38 Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympic Games - Opening
Fits all the way through, especially the part at 06:57. It just makes that sequence hilarious.
4. 21:54 Super Mario Odyssey - Break Free
The way it's edited fits really well and gives me a vibe of a lot of early 2000s movies.
Yep. But we all know that Brian Tyler's composition of World 1-1 is AMAZING and should've been in the movie.
Your right about your third pick, the Tempo of the Violins is perfectly matched to each time Mario gets owned by the gauntlet.
I also like how in the part where Pauline sings “smash through the blocks” Mario smashes a brick block.

Honestly, both "Mario & Sonic London Olympic Games 2012 Main Theme" and "Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Main Theme" fits perfectly fine with this scene. Both make the last part epic by how it ends
3D Land theme actually fits well for this scene.

Honestly, 12:34 has to be my favorite (up until the final lap, where it isn't intense enough-and would work really well if it switched to 16:48 for that last part!)
Slider, the Olympic themes and the Smash themes fit surprisingly well. My favorites are between Slider and Smash 4 Battlefield.
The Vocal Pauline songs are pretty great too!
Relatively speaking, EVERY theme here suits this scene better than a licensed song like Holding Out for a Hero. Nice editing! 😉

1. Will you provide a no-music variant of the "Sonic meets Knuckles" scene that ends on Knuckles pinning Sonic to a tree?
2. Will you provide a no-music variant of the "Sonic in Labyrinth" scene that begins with Sonic sliding down the water slide, like in your music edit?

The Olympic Games opening themes fit so well it's downright criminal!
There was supposed to be an OST in the Training Montage Scene where Brian Tyler composed *1-1 World* (Or as I like to call it, Mario's Theme) but the Illumination executives came in and denied it by replacing Holding Out for a Hero in the final cut.
It's available on UA-cam btw just saying, probably should've put that in last place, Ryan.🤷

Fun Fact, it's been confirmed the licensed music was intended first. Brian Tyler's music was written for consideration of replacement, but the Illumination execs chose which scenes should retain licensed music and which could be replaced with original score.
The catch being, the movie simply didn't have any vocal music, and they needed to strike a balance.

The Mario and Sonic Olympic Games themes work so much better for this scene than they should. Sega does what Nintendon't, I guess. Great timing and editing on all of these!
