I would love to hear a "Crown of Thorns" by For Today cover some day! Both this song and that one give me chills every time as I remember our Lord's sacrifice.
This song is powerful as hell. Ive been listening to WOA for over 10 years now. I drove 2 hours by myself to see them play a show in a school cafeteria in north NJ when they were touring on Supreme Chaos album. Great band.
This is edge of your seat bro! heart rate increasing.... power lever over 9000! Recharged & Enlarged to serve the will of God! Let your battle cry be my war drums my brother.
Dope sick banger war of ages heavy song cover bro amazing heavy screams sick clean vocals dude super awesome metalCore performance I absolutely loved it Ben great job my brother war of ages are my favorite heavy metal bands amazing cover man got me pumped up on that one my brother amazing video you nailed this my friend love you 🥰
Such excellence!! Passion and praise. Great cover, Ben! Might see you this Sunday. Keep up the awesome work. Your love for the Lord is an encouragement.
Amazing cover! I’m trying to become a vocalist myself and this gets me hyped to want to learn more. I’m very inexperienced so I’m just learning my vowels atm haha but I hope to progress further in the future.
What album is this off of? I think I’m missing it out of my collection. Excellent work my friend, powerful lyrics mated to heavy instrumentals, awesome cover!
Awesome job man! I am looking for some instrumental parts of some of these awesome songs without the vocals on them. I am building liners for a christian rock show on the radio and don't have the skill to do that. Would you be interested in helping me out?
I love war of ages and I listened to the original song and I gotta say I like your cover slightly more because you had more agression and emphasis. Great cover!
Idk to be honest:) But what I do know is Leroy loves the Lord and has been faithful to proclaim Christ and Him crucified through his many years in this band.
Lolola I know! I think I need to edit it so that it doesn't... not sure why it did that but my guess I it's because it's the exact length of the original...because I made my vid exactly as long. Lol I don't wanna listen to my vocal cover i wanna hear them 😭. I'm gonna try and figure it out
You killed it man, awesome job! I did an instrumental full mix guitar cover for WOA's "Through the Flames" on my channel. If you're ever interested in using it for a vocal cover, let me know and I'll send it over!
The extremist Christian lyrics this band is spewing are too pronounced and in-your-face for my tastes. I don't really have a problem with them being Christian, but it's hard to like their songs when you can't even listen to a song by them without hearing Holy-holy-down-your-throat lyrics. Unfortunately, the lyrics alienate the non-Christian listeners like me. If this band were a little more subtle in what they were trying to to convey, they'd probably find many more listeners...and knowing what Christians are ultimately looking to accomplish in general, I'm certain they'd find more people to convert if they were a little more subtle..
It would defeat the purpose. My desire as a Christian is for people to know of the One, Jesus who can set people free and give them abundant life. War Of Ages, myself... we don't want to waste the opportunity. I spend many hours on my music , I don't want to just reach masses of people with anything, I wanna reach that broken person, that downcast person and not with just anything, but with the truth of the gospel, the clear truth of who Jesus is. The bible says this in Romans 10:9-14 that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation. For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes in Him will not be disappointed.” For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord is Lord of all, abounding in riches for all who call on Him; for “Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in Him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher? How will they preach unless they are sent? Just as it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!” Another thing to consider is that this music is also for Christian listeners. Who want to worship The holy holy holy God. Listeners who don't want the subtle, don't want it watered down. God is worthy of praise!
I didn't really think about whether you'd reply to me or not, but now that I saw you did, I will say that I respect that fact. I thought as I was typing my initial message that if you did reply, I could expect biblical quotes and justification for why your lyrics are so in-your-face. I honestly don't have any problem with that. I even respect that. Unfortunately, that's where the good part ends.. 😟 As someone quite familiar with the Bible, I do know that the most important thing that someone can do, according to the Bible, is convert other people. All I was trying to convey is that when you go hard with your lyrics, I don't think you're going to be very successful at converting anyone to Christianity. You're welcome to disagree, of course. Based upon your initial reply to me, I don't get the feeling that you care in the least about that, though. I can't judge you based upon that, but I certainly can question things. There is something about what you said that does bother me.. What turned me off about your reply to me is that you flat-out said that your music is for Christian listeners who want to worship the holy holy holy God. Those words just alienated me, and everyone else who isn't exactly Christian, or who is questioning their faith. It's quite easy to write lyrics directed at a specific group of people, while alienating everyone else, but are you really doing God's work by only catering to the people who are already faithful and devoted to God? The already faithful are easy for you to target because they are already of the same mindset as you. In my opinion, I don't really think you're accomplishing what God is asking of you by doing that. You're basically just serving baked chicken to people who you already know love baked chicken...so, you're not going to be gaining new listeners outside of your religion, or much less converting anyone. Quite frankly, in my opinion, you're taking the easy way out. Stating to me that your music is for "Christian listeners" sounds pretty snooty, and sure makes it seem like the rest of us are not welcome and can go fly a kite. I promise you that you sure made me feel that way. Unfortunately, the way you presented things seems all too familiar as the type of words many of us have heard from other "Christians," and comes off as quite off-putting and alienating. I'm not sure if you at all realize this, but when people say something along the lines of what you said, it causes others to acquire a potentially bad taste in their mouths towards Christianity. It certainly doesn't cause anyone to want to gravitate towards Christianity, I can promise you that. Since your lyrics profess how much you believe in Jesus Christ, and make it seem like you are very knowledgeable about Christianity, do you truly believe that Jesus Christ would want you to only cater to the already faithful, while alienating others who are not yet believers or are on the fence? Does Jesus want you to take the easiest path?? Is the path to heaven wide, while the path to hell is narrow? Or might you have that backwards by taking the easy way when speaking? I'm certainly not trying to be condescending. I'm just really trying to point out how your words might make others feel, just like they made me feel, and how they might not be helping your cause..
@@angelina8379 You're welcome to become a Christian, and then this music would be for you. The invitation is for any and all. Submit to the Lordship of Christ, acknowledging your insufficiency and desperate need before a holy, holy, holy God, and ask His forgiveness. BAM, the music is now for you!
