Only recently found out about Myrath. Love their previous album. The arab folk elements are delightful. Shame we lose some of that here, but that solo was worth the price of admission
Another absolute banger from Myrath! Masterpiece of a song! They are evolving and still getting better. I disagree with those saying that this song is “POP.” It’s got great hooks, but that doesn’t make it pop music. The rest of their catalog also has great hooks, but is still very musical and intricate. Keep up the good work, gentlemen. Great review, and you guys have excellent taste in music.
Clean vocals don't mean "poppish" If it weren't for these vocals, the song wouldn't be what it is. Singers like Nils Molin, Jake E, and Roy Khan are what makes the bands they're in. Without them, they're just another metal band. These dudes are special, imo.
Not a bad song but I miss the raw sound of Myrath - Tales of the sands or even Legacy. Since the previous album I find the production too polished and somehow poppy. The guitars don't come in front in the mix, but maybe it's how is heard on the phone. Also I miss the folk elements. I hope they are present in the other songs. Definitely will hear the album because Myrath is a great band, just I hope the sound is not so commercial in the other songs (a tendency I have noticed since the last album).
I felt the same way I felt about David Beckem. I thought he was an amazing player early on then he became super famous and an underwear model or whatever. He was a great player though. It’s a lot of pressure for the football players. Look at Ronaldo.
I'd say audio is one thng and visuals are the other. When it comes to picking sides I feel somwewhere in between. As stand alone audio only it is okay song,a s for what you can see it remind me of what times of technological achievements we're living in ( If AI being used in doing creative stuff was some sort of groundbraking achievement ) + i felt like i'm watching trailer for one of those new shitty fantasy netflix series.
Did you listen to their other song? Because if you did, I would say that they have a totally unique sound. Oriental progressive metal doesn't sound at all like Finnish metal bands.
the best band from the country of my wife tunisia :D myrath is very underrated
Myrath in early albums was great at adding the traditional folk elements to the songs. This song could've been done by any modern melodic metal band.
Nice reaction guys honestly myrath have become one of my favourite bands absolutely brilliant music you should definitely check out more.
Sup guys!! Been watching you since 2016. I have two sons, ages 12 and 18, and seeing you guys share metal music as father and son is awesome!
Thank you

4:09 That part is the tits. Overall a very good song, even though I was at first skeptical because of the sort of "poppish" clean vocals. 🤘
