You have to give CZ a lot of credit for helping Colt make the return of the blued Python happen. I am shocked you can get a high polished, deep royal blued finish for only $100 more MSRP than a regular stainless. I stand corrected and was wrong, I thought CZ - Colt would only do a very limited edition, special Custom Shop only run of a blued Python and it would start at least in the $2,000 plus range and we would never see a full regular production blued again. Now, let's hope CZ - Colt adds the blued to the Anaconda, Kodiak, Grizzly and King Cobra series as well.
Have you looked at Missouri Bullet company? They make a Hi-Tek coated lead bullet that will stop your leading problem and they are reasonable priced. I had the same leading problem on a S&W 625 I shoot using lead bullet, when I switched to the Hi-Tec coated bullets my leading problem went away. Love Colt's blueing job on your revolver they can still do it right.
OMG IS THAT BEAUTIFUL 😍 ❤️, Sense Colt brought the Beautiful Black & Blue Mirror finish back I've been wanting one in 4" , maybe they will do the fire case hardening receiver next . ❤
If you ever owned or shot one of the blue Originals you would think differently. The blued is what all of us old timers relate to. Just Like the Model 29 44 Magnum you wouldn't want that in a stainless😮
Those grips are absolutely perfect the fit is incredible you can tell that from your video on them. Sorry I haven't commented on the radio shows last couple weeks I went Home for the first time since I moved here in 2005 was great to see my brother and see my nephews
In my Python, I have been using a low-recoiling 105 gr round made for Cowboy Action events. It has the a Hi-Tek coating, so leading does not seem to be a problem. I am not interested in loading my own cartridges, so I am glad someone makes and sells these.
I’ve fired a lot of full wadcutter bullets and they were very accurate with no leading problems ! The 158 grain SWC I fired several thousand of those ! I would shy away from moly coated bullets , the moly builds up and is difficult to remove ! Hunting I used hard cast or jacketed bullets ! Great review , beautiful firearms the blued ones are !
Get rid of those junk sights and you'll have the perfect firearm. You're well on the way with the Deer Hollow grips. I have a set of those too on my 4 1/2" blued. I went with Wilson gold bead front and Kensight Elliason rear.
Since they came out blued I want one of those so bad. I had one of The Originals in the early 1980s and it was absolutely a dream gun unfortunately I traded it off for a Model 29 Smith & Wesson. I don't regret it because I absolutely love the Dirty Harry gun however I would love to have a blue Colt Python again😊
The only thing I would do is use the Wilson Combat aftermarket steel rear adjustable sight and replace that rear sight that came on it from the factory.
Do you get info on when engraved models are released? I never find out til they've been out for a while. Is there a place that shows upcoming engraved firearms?
I have 2 of the same(blue/stainless) but in 4.25 . Mine isn't as flash as yours. My engraving is standard. I did change my grips also with Hogue grooved. I also swapped the sights to the wilson. HKS actually has a loader model made for the python.
GREAT VID BEAUTIFUL COLT, Question: do the roll marks come with the gold inlay like yours or is that something you did? my 4.25 blued Python will be in by this friday of asking this question can't wait to hold her Best Regards
Its paint. Testors Model Paint (Enamel). Fill it in with whatever color you want, let it dry, wipe off the excess w/ gun cleaner solvent or nail polish and enjoy.
I had an original blue 6" in the 80's and sold it for $$$$. I always regretted it as they stopped production in '05....and used ones were way too expensive. I bought the 4.24" SS a few years ago, but this year purchased the Blue 6"...I am Thrilled to have my Baby Blue Again. QUESTION: Cleaning burn marks on the cylinder with the SS I use a lead removal cloth, but I am afraid to hurt the finish on the blue version...any suggestions?
@@BATJACJW I've had three in my life. The last one was a snubby. When it got to where I could get $1,800.00 for it, I sold it. Should have hung on longer, though, since now they sell for a good bit more.
I’d love to have one. Colt brought out the blue after I got my stainless, before law changes by gun confíscation now in the communist republic of Washington the State Patrol is compiling a gun registration on law abiding citizens 🤬
Absolutely gorgeous Revolver 👍👍

Very interessed in a blued Anaconda/Kodiak
Its not a high polished royal blue like before. Seen one at my local shop and the smith classic line looks better.
I like the Hillary Hole-less Colt myself. And the blue on the new 4.5" Python is amazing.

Very nice revolver! Great video!👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸

I would also check for unburned gunpowder underneath the "star ejector", because that causes the cylinder to "bind up" as well....
Thanks for sharing the info.
very nice colt python by colt. i usually like stainless but blue is good too.

Did you do something to highlight the lettering it looks kind of pronounced maybe it's just the lighting

I love those grips. Never held the new Python but love my old one.

We just picked up a 4” stainless. Thanks for the 586 info.

Shooting a hard bullet slow or a soft bullet fast gets you leading.
Damn that is a sexy gun!
I have the stainless 6"....what a work of art!
The only thing I would do is use the Wilson Combat aftermarket steel rear adjustable sight and replace that rear sight that came on it from the factory.
I would love a blued 4-inch😊
Love the beautiful grips from Olaf.
The best!
Excellent bookmatch on the "weird wood" grips. Can you do some range footage with the Pythons?
You can probably shoot nothing but magnums through that thing unlike the old ones and be fine.

How did you do the gold inlay on the Python logo?

My, that's a big one😅
Are the internal works the same as the 70s model ? Was all hand fitted with not great interchangeably with parts.

I have not tried anything yet due to the nature of high polish blued does tend to wear faster.
What happened to the grips? Have you spilled coffee on them?
That's the figure and grain of the wood Bozo.

For just a little more, you could have found a real one on the used market. LOL. Just kidding. Very nice.
I had a old one I traded it and glad I did, i like this new one better.

That's about the price I seen for a 6in blued vintage python's in shops out here. Post 2020 prices I seen been 1500 to 2000 tops.
I’d love to have one. Colt brought out the blue after I got my stainless, before law changes by gun confíscation now in the communist republic of Washington the State Patrol is compiling a gun registration on law abiding citizens 🤬
The new blued ones look mehh. Also why 3 ribs on the 4in gun, and 5 ribs on the new 8in guns. Yuck
LEWIS LEAD REMOVING KIT CAN FIT THAT PROBLEM. PLUS USE CAST BULLETS OR USE LESS POWDER. NOT A REAL PYTHON ANYWAY.
спасибо мужик! получил эстетические наслаждение от ролика 😊
