Hey there Stelvio! Thanks for the detailed comparison between the Boston 12 and Duramo Speed. Your insights on the specs, performance, and comfort are really helpful for those considering these shoes. I appreciate your thorough testing and honesty about the value difference. Keep up the great work! 🏃♂👟
Thank you Mihai, I found out that this comparison video are the most watched, so I'm trying to edit more video like this one. Thank you for watching and commenting my friend! 😊🏃🏻♂️
I expect the Boston is more expensive, and better for speed work and races. The duramo seems like a good value trainer though. I recently got my first Adidas shoe, the Takumi Sen 8. It's narrower and less stable than my training shoes, but light and fast for race day 👍🏻
Yes indeed, B12 is better but if you already have a racing shoe or fast workout shoe then I suggest the Duramo. I know I can't run too long with the Takumi Sen 8, due to my light pronation, but it is a super shoe! Thanks for watching!
And over 400km in all conditions, wet, slippery, ice....great, great shoe :)My Mach 5, Clifton and Boston are put aside because Duramo is doing everything :)They are put on test in my club with much faster runner than me (1:22 Half) and he likes it :)
I would certainly have bought the duramo speed if adidas had put at least lightstrike 2.0 in the midsole rather then just the lightstrike. Perhaps in the future but the firmness of the current duramo speed version is a no from me. Thanks for your detailed explanation.
I see your point and it is true the 2.0 is softer and more comfortable, but I have to say that the Duramo is comfy after 15miles on it. It is also true that I like more the firmness so it might be it is just my preferences. Thanks for watching 😊
I feel very comfortable on Duramo speed, I feel great comfort compare to the other shoe I have adizero SL, Adios 8, Ultraboost Light, Boston 12. I got my 10k pb on Duramo. Looking for recommendation, if I can use this for marathon?
Hi, thanks for let us know about your impressions and feeling with the Duramo Speed. While it is a nice shoe, perfect for training, it does not have the support a shoe with carbon or energie rods might have. I would therefore pick a different shoe for racing a marathon
Thanks Stelvio, upon reading ur review, I switched to Boston12 from Duramo, got no issue on my first Long Run (21km) but started to have knee pain or discomforts after Interval Run, did u have this experience after transitioning to Boston12? Or is this an adjustment period? 😢
Hello, I didn't have this experience with the B12 but with other shoes, and most of the time it is an adjustment period. The B12 is not so low to the ground and it has enough cushioning, but the LS2.0 could cause this effect because more squishy than the LS. So it might be that it is a bit less stable in the heel, because it compresses more. I believe it is just a matter to get us of it, or at least I hope it for you :-)
@@runningwithstelvio , thanks again, , found at this morning long run , B12 cushioning is superb compared to Duramo. You are correct, it could be B12 split heel design that could be causing some discomfort , praying it would be ok by Tokyo Marathon , But I would be racing with Nike Vaporfly (not tested yet), hopefully not another adjustment period 🙏🙏 any review with B12 and Vaporfly conparison, keep on running🏃♂️
@@jmgetalla good to hear and no problem of course. The Vaporfly 2, for my feet is a bit to narrow in the forefoot in comparison with the Adidas shoes, I haven't tested the version 3 yet. I use the Vaporlfy till 10k or some HM, it is pretty responsive, more than the B12, but I cannot run a full marathon on it. Rather I would use the Adios Pro 3, which has more room in the forefoot. So far I haven't done this comparison because I thought the comparison was Vaporfly vs Adios pro, but if can help I can always highlight the differences. For the Marathon it is better that you test it out during the long training sessions. Keep on running! 😊🏃🏻♂ Thanks for watching!
Very easy to get used of the LS pro, I totally share the same habit :-) But the LS 2 is softer than the LS. Pity that they haven't used the LS 2 in the Duramo. Thanks for watching!
I did not tested the SL but only the speed, but I don’t think it is a shoe for fast workouts and it depends what you mean for fast, I ran a good tempo run at 4min/km pace and it was ok with the Duramo speed. If you need it for faster workouts then I would go for another shoe, neither the SL nor the Duramo Speed. I hope it helps 😊

Is there any carbon plate in duramo speed??
No carbon plate, no torsion system
So, Boston 12 is wide foot friendly?
Yes especially in the forefoot
Is the toe box tight or wide relative to Boston 12? Thanks
Hi Jaki, it is tighter than the B12, it is more like the B11
