I’m the creator of Zoom Fisheye Spinners and I run a bead above the blade on my product hence the Fisheye moniker. And they work just fine. 6mm Fisheye and 8mm body beads. Just saying.........
I am not a fan of putting anything above the blade. I think it has a potential if pushing down on top and effective the spin. And it can hamper the water flow.

Thanks Cody I've been wanting to pick up a Twist Tech and start making my own. I've been saving all of my old bent up spinners to rebuild one day.

It is called a twist tech! Not cheap, generally around $100...but worth the investment if you are making a lot of your own spinners!
