@@DayOneOutdoors that's a fact Jack! But seriously thank you for your knowledge people don't understand the value of a guides knowledge, to me it's unmeasurable.
Thanks so much for the support! We have a very good, hard working crew that puts these together! Hope you enjoy all of the content posted and more to come!
Saltist line counter reels???? Thought I was the only person left to keep using those. They have been absolute MONEY!!!!! Finally broke down and cleaned my B10 line counter Saltist this winter. She's good for another 10 years.
In Astoria, the scope is dependent upon the current at depth! Sometimes we are near straight up and down, and when we are nosed into the current, they are sometimes just barely under the surface! The best thing to do is trust your electronics and change your depth to where the fish are cruising!
Wait till you see them in the estuaries of creeks that the runs are endangered in .now that will make your blood boil.much as i like them it should be legal to shoot them when they steal from your lines .theyre smart and would soon learn to give man a wide berth like they used to when it was legal to do so.
That's real fishing... What you think you know you DON'T....
Great video quality.
Jarrod (sp) is worth the price of admission. No outdoor video should be without him. Didn't know he was a rapper.
I always love bringing him on...just for the comic relief! I tend to be too technical sometimes...and he brings it right back to the fun!
I absolutely love the realism in your videos, just a bunch of buddies fishing and blowing each other shit. Much respect and keep em coming #tightlines
Thanks for the support! Always fun fishing with friends!!!

Just curious on your spin fish, does it matter what size you use?
Some days it does...and some days it doesnt! I Always try and let the fish decide!
😅 good thing he’s got a nascar boat, make it to new ground fast
Such a sick video!!! Really probably the best production I’ve ever seen, hats off, keep em coming, super super informative #DayOne #TopGun

Great reels. Best part is they can pick up 40" per crank which is helpful when fishing barbless hooks!
@@DayOneOutdoors Yesss we love our saltist. Best retrieve on the market!
Awesome video again!! Best fishery around! Can’t wait.
Thanks for the support!
Nice work gentlemen! Looking forward to seeing you all out there! Cheers
Can't wait!
at 4:57, that's my boat!
Glad I subscribed, your content is great and you’re local. Good luck at buoy 10
Love shipwreck!
Great video! Love the channel. How much weight are you using? Looks like a lot
We are typically running 16oz leads! That is because of the heavy currents and other boats nearby!
Nice
Just curious can you fish mono effective at buoy 10 or so you need to use braid?
You bet! I used to run 30lb Maxima hi viz yellow or tuna blue! Braid just allows to run less lead or have out less line!
16oz weight set up has me interested. What speed are you trolling and how much blow back do you experience effecting your depth ?

damn seals
Cody, great content as always. Been looking everywhere for Red October and Green Machine flashers to no avail. Any lead on where to get?
Hey Fish MOJO! www.fishfield.com has them in stock right now! Get'em before they gone!
@@DayOneOutdoors got it on order. Thanks Cody.
is that barry howard on there
What rod you like for that?
Hey there! Jarod covers our setup around the 22:50 mark! Take a look and good luck this season!
Isn't opening Aug 1st? How are ya'll fishing this weeks before?
It was filmed in 2021... 😉

Why doesn’t every guide carry a shotty with rubber slugs? You could really help with the broken by putting one in their head. It’s legal, use it.
