The most interesting thing was what Matt Weaver pointed out. If the release clause is unenforceable, could other teams join? We know Childress wasn't happy with the agreement.

RIP Fred Lorenzen. A remarkable talent on the track and one who pushed NASCAR to become recognizable in the early years that set the standard as NASCAR's Golden Boy all be it as a good thing. Like Lorenzen, Estepp himself continues to help reach new fans in NASCAR by his good content, so keep up the work, Eric, and for Fred Lorenzen, he's now one lap ahead of us.

I would be surprised if we don't see them make some compromises and alter the charter agreement to give a little more to the teams. It would be a small price to pay compared to opening their books imo.

Im SHOCKED they are allowed to run under the 2025 Charter Agreement terms. I always assumed they would get an extension of the preexisting agreement, which NASCAR would be in favor of because a) thats an agreement the teams actually signed, and b) the teams would still get the lower share of the Revenue. Was never sure of the legality of all that but thats what I assumed would happen

I think Brad has a very big influence though. I hope RFK does great things. Been a Brad fan since his first win at Talladega and took out Carl Edwards

Stewart left partly for the reasons NASCAR is being sued over right now. Stewart was sick of the way the teams especially Ford teams get treated. JGR got a taste of that at Martinsville in the last playoffs.

RFK with RWR and Haas Factory Team Fords. I would never imagine that 23XI and FRM would win an injunction in court against Nascar. This is gonna be an interesting 2025.

There was a pretty small chance they didnt get this injunction especially after nascar came out and tried to pull those strong arm tactics to kick them out of the sport when they get sued for anti competitive practices 😂

I wonder if there will be ramifications in other "single owned sports leagues" in the US. In a way this is sorta NASCAR's fault, when they switched to the Charter system, the France family gave up some of the power, even if they didn't realize it yet. When it was the prior system, the teams didn't have any "ownership stakes" in the system, not so anymore.

What I don't get is why teams had to continue paying for charters and instead of giving the established teams a "permanent charter" (HMS, JGR, Penske) their Permanent charter (Don't have to pay for it for keeping it except to sell) while the other teams had the original plan to get charter and lease them (most of these teams are not quite long running ex. HMS, JGR, and Penske) the big three been there for 10-30+ years

MJ was right, the first one thru the wall gets bloody. There is a lot of people behind him and Hamlin who couldn’t afford to get bloody. Love that the judge landed where they did

It sounds good for 23X1 ,but it only takes one judge to overrule this decision and throw it out. Legal issues for people with money have proven it's never over.

The ruling indicated that they would have lost Monster Energy and Love's Travel Stores. I am not surprised given what the second motion argued regarding NASCAR's approval of the SHR charter sale, the Tyler Reddick contract, and SHR's harm had they not been able to sell the charters.

This had to be granted to avoid the potential for another lawsuit from SHR for them getting screwed in all this. I still think they lose this lawsuit in the long run but this is a positive for the fans.

Stoked for 23Xl and FRM. Nascar, the France family in particular, certainly isn’t excited about having to share their financials in discovery, and for this reason and many others, a settlement agreement seems eminent

I know we didn't talk about RCR in this video specifically, but I remember in a previous video, you said that people that have worked for RCR has said it's very old school type environment. Sounds a lot like how Roush Fenway Racing was, but when Brad stepped in and changed the culture, they started having more success. Maybe RCR needs some new ownership blood in it from someone that has experience owning a team
