Need some advice. I have a 2006 E Ton Viper 90 with issues. My son was riding it the other day. When he came to a stop the bike just turned off. I got the bike to start again, but when putting into forward position. It shifted hard and the bike shut off again. It started again and when giving it gas would it turned off again. Took off the air cleaner sprayed starting fluid, bike would start again. But then shut off after the starting burns up. Could it be a carb problem?
Could definitely be a carburetor issue, also check for any air leaks. They are a big cause of stalling or losing power. For the hard shift. Drain and refill your gear oil. Hope that helps! Let me know
I got an eton that I bought my daughter the guy.who sold it to me.said it was a 15 yr old atv that was.left out side uncovered...I do know nothing about atvs I do got knowledge on motorcycles so when I got it I know what to look for to get it started everything was there spark plug cdi regulator etc...etc nothing turns on even w a new battery any idea you can give me ???
@@krislopez3913 did you confirm the wiring when you bypassed the key? The Eton is a bit different in how it’s wired. With the 2 strokes the lights typically don’t come on until it’s running. Check the solenoid, check the safety switch in the hand brake, make sure it’s in neutral if it has gears, double check fuses and all connectors… the list keeps going let me know if all those are good
Oh wow yeah I didn't know that...thank you. For letting me.know that the two stroke doesn't require for lights to be on when key switch is on ......tomorrow afternoon when I get back from.work I'll check all that.do you think Is better to get a whole new wire harness from eBay??they have some that come with cdi regulator rectifier, stator, reley solenoid coil, spark plug...switches???where exactly are the fuses located at in this etons ???
@@krislopez3913 the wire harness off eBay or Amazon May or may not work for the Eton depending on which one you buy. Unless the factory harness is cut up and random splicing I would not replace it. You can repair and nicks in it and get a new key harness. Does yours have reverse? Alpha-sports.com and get2itparts.com both offer Eton parts if you need replacement parts. If it was a 4 stroke Eton I could walk you through replacing the wire harness with an aftermarket one but with it being 2 stroke best to stay factory
Picked up a 90RXL few months ago i got it to run but its very laggy and after a while the new battery died so i changed the stator and magneto, rectifier i had to jump it to get it started today so i don’t know if the battery is good is there any way to check or could it be something with the cdi box that isn’t charging the battery
New batteries still need to be put on a trickle charger if not being run on a regular basis. The rectifier could be bad that’s what charges the battery. You can take the battery to most May auto parts store and they can test it. If you can take the whole quad they can test the charging system also. Typically they do it for free.
I don’t currently have a video of that. But they are pretty easy to replace or repair. Remove the plastic off the right side of the engine and you will see the fan, remove that and you will see the fly wheel and behind that is the stator. You will need a special tool to remove the fly wheel but they can be purchased on eBay or Amazon for less than $20.

4 stroke has spark plug on the side of the engine head, 2 stroke has spark plug top of engine head. What year is it? That can also help tell, they stopped making the 2 stroke in 2006. Many other different things if you still need help.
I have not done a video of breaks on an Eton. I can try to post one if you need some help. Is there something that you have questions about? If just doing the pads it’s not very difficult. If you have to bleed them and and or replace the master cylinder it’s a bit more work but not to hard.
@@GrowYourOwnFun trying to figure out why they’re leaking. Front brakes work great, rears worked when I added fluid but then found a puddle under the quad. Can’t find the source of the leak. Don’t know where to begin.
@@christophere350 you have an 8mm nut that has a hole in it on the rear caliper, you can use that to bleed the break lines. If that is loose, fluid can leak out. This is the one I have and it works well. For $60 they have a nicer one. www.harborfreight.com/4a-fully-automatic-microprocessor-controlled-battery-chargermaintainer-63350.html
