MARCELITO has that GOD given talent..He'd been deprived during his younger days. Hence, GOD is now giving him this blessing, to uplift him, soul & spirit..
He submitted this as one of his grandfinal song in agt but Simon had chosen beauty and the beast but during the finals when he made a comment and denied it was he who selected it. That's why marcelito deep inside is so mad at his comment and almost want to cry. But being the kind and humble person that he is. He remained compose. By the way he can also sing a song that is performed by more than 5 singers ( we are the world, there's a short sample of it on UA-cam. CNN Philippines when he was interviewed after the agt show ).

If IL DIVO is Simon Cowell's group, then I think this is the best one for Marcelito to sing in the finals, just to show Simon that he can do it, not in just two voices but more in a perfected tune with different voices.

They might not allow Marcelito to sing the song I Believe in You because it might need a permit because the Il Divo was no longer under Simon's contract and those guys was performing mainly in Europe. Just hoping that this song was the one chosen for Grand Finals.
Marcelito had a statement in his facebook that he cant choose any song we recommend him because of restrictions in the show. He himself is disappointed on the song they let him to sing, but he said enjoy what it is because its the way he share his talent win or lose :)

Guys you must understand the thing that people all over the world love about his voice is not that he can do 5 voices or more but those two voices: bajo or alto man's voice to soprano 2 or soprano 3 female genuine voice. The incredible range that he is gifted with blows peoples minds away! The song 'I believe in you' is not impressive in terms of impact and vocal range where as the song 'phantom of the opera' clearly shows extreme vocal requirements especially at the end of the song. Guys imitating 3 men's voices doesn't make much distinction as opposed to a man's voice quickly shifting to a female soprano's voice. The difference is so apparent that makes Marcelito's singing so unique and mind boggling when shifting between man and woman's voices. The song 'the phantom of the opera' clearly accentuates this feature of Marcelito.
Almost all male singers cannot imitate the voice of a great female singer. Because the tone of a male voice is clearly different from the tone of a female voice. However, Marcelito can produce the tone of a female voice. Moreover, his male tenor and baritone voices are also very rich and beautiful. This is so amazing!!

Could be a winning piece, I think it's not at 50-50% chance I believe Simon was right talking about taking a bigger risk for the finals. @@acetv5333 😂Did you get the point of everyone else here & Marcelito himself or of Simon? Or you better throw ur question to urself... These are only all suggestions for the sake of an argument. And at the same time OVELA's observation is right. The point of Simon is to have a bigger risk in the Grand Finale, to have a change, one is that not of the same genre as what OVELA was talking about & with a TWIST. That's why I came up w/ the idea of "We Are the World" w/ a TWIST to add some Sopranos & Tenors voices/touches there w/c is completely different from what Marcelito's 2 songs. Of course the final judgment is still on Simons's team but if Marcelito suggests & explains it right, reasonably & logically then there's no way Simon's team will not agree w/ the choice, otherwise something fishy going on. Because it's quite difficult, unique, surprising, hard & out of this world if Marcelito can or could perform it perfectly.

I have been reading all your suggestions and I really thank you all for taking the time to think of the best song that I can sing to make me be the Grand Winner... Actually guys this is out of my control... In as much as we are very much eager to do your suggestion we just can’t.. they first need to have a license on the song to be able for me to sing it.. they need to have an approval from the team to be able for me to sing it.. they need to check if time would be enough time to plot the song and for me to practice...
I can say that this song might not be the best song to sing in the finale (kind of disappointed) but I am just hoping and praying that you will all like it... taking this positively and just thinking that this is not a competition.. this is my way of sharing my talent to the whole world..

For the main thing, Marcelito has to deliver perfectly; after that, I am not too sure which is the better song : 1) A song that shows more technicality (with 5 voices) like "I believe in you" (or maybe "Phantom of the Opera"), or2) A song that shows a sweeter and more soothing voice that is more relaxing and easier to listen to and more romantic, like "Endless Love" or perhaps 3) a song that is between technical and sweet like "Music of the Night".Which one would touch the heart more? I'm sure you knew Katrina Velarde has multiple voices(Mariah,Christina,Beyonce,JessieJ,Britney,Shakira,Ellie,and a host of other)in one song. I believe Marcelito can also do it. It's just the song choice that he needs from the AGT early to study the song to operate w/ his choice & liking so he could practice w/ his management group. Also, he can ask for help from Katrina & Darryl Ong.

IL Divo is a group created by Simon Cowell. The group is composed of four male singers.
I totally get what Simon had said that the surprise is over (Marcelito's ability to change voices). But one thing that judges are probably missing is the language that he uses when he sings or when he changes from one language to another. Marcelito's mother tongue is Tagalog/Filipino. English could be considered his second language. But to sing a song in Italian (The Prayer) or with this one (I believe in you) e.i. in French in some parts, that is another surprise. For me, the judges are focusing on the voices that he can do and miss Marcelito's ability to sing in different languages (knowing his life journey). This is the SHOCK that judges need to know (perhaps). God bless, Marcelito! You make us proud!

There is a recent interview and post where he said that the song chosen was not what he expected that would bring a grand performance as there were limitations as to getting licenses and approvals, preparing the production needed, and arranging the piece to fit the desired buildup and the allotted time, as well as time to practice the arrangement. Nonetheless he asking for our support and understanding no matter the outcome.

OMG! I just watched a video Marcelito Pomoy posted himself on his channel. He says AGT has forced him to sing a song according to Simon's directive. Choosing his own song is not an option. And, according to him, it's a song he doesn't see to be contest-worthy, albeit it supposedly matches what Simon says to be different.

Speaking of SPLIT, well he really has an album called "SPLIT".
Here in the Philippines there are few of them who can sings from Bass2 up to Soprano 1 and nailed it. Our Choral Conductor is one of the few Filipino who sing like Marcelito. It’s a gift from heaven plus it’s innate to us singing.. And we considered singing as profession and it’s part of our culture even before spaniard came to our country.
