Jamiroquai had a live Facebook broadcast yesterday (July 18 2017) from Switzerland and Paul Turner was front and center. It's hard explaining to folks (especially non-musicians) that if you like what you hear out of Jamiroquai during a show, it's because of Jay Kay's voice and Paul Turner's bass. Paul makes the song.
Exactly. And Paul is so humble. Watched him the whole time during the concert and always so in tune and into every song. For sure one of the big motivations to pick up learning bass. Even dont dare to touch Jamiroquai pieces yet :D
Paul Turner... Brilliant! and humble with it! I saw him play after the recent Bass show with his JK 'side-kick' with the also brilliant but humble Rob Harris at the Hand & Flower pub across from the Olympia. Thanks for uploading. Great podcast!
Man i played Runaway at a gig a couple of weeks back, the most fun i've ever had playing bass live :D even managed to sneak in a bass solo as we didn't really have synths to fill in the bridge section hahaha
SD's interview style enhances the 'likeability' of all the bass players I've watched/listened to on the podcasts. I've yet to watch a 'dud' interview yet. All great dudes .... (& dude-ettes)
Obviously I lovethe stuff that Paul is playing with Jamiroquai but personally I thought the bass playing that he did with the " Pasadenas in the mid 80's was some of Paul's best playing
But seriously folks... jamiroquai officially ceased being JAMIROQUAI with the release of 'Deeper Underground' (Big Up to Stuart Zender. R.i.P Toby Smith)

Please bring Paul Turner to this show again. And put a bass in his hands.

right! the 2 most important 'voices' !
Yeah. One of the reasons I picked up a bass in the first place.

Feelin' just the same! Paul and Rob are so great and though so humble, really beautiful persons, blessed ones...
Just finished watching the podcast - great job Scott. PT is an absolute groove monster, comes across as a really top bloke. :-)

Such a great player, also seems like a really good dude.
saw this man performing in Mexico City in 2006... I still remember it.

Excelente bajista, no se porque lo comparan con Stuart Zender cada quien tiene su estilo. Paul Turner muy bueno, me encanta!!!! 💓
Here's a great idea. have the guest teach a lesson. I'd love Paul to teach Runaway. I want to know his exact notes and fingerings.
Paul's a great Bassist
Incredible bassist, as were all the others

Scott, please stop talking over the people you interview, you keep finishing the sentences for them. let them tell their stories brother. much love.
What are you talking about? It's a conversation. And Scott's right with him, not talking over him at all.
JK: 'Great bass-line Paul. I'm glad I thought of that.'
throwing stones at the bass player, boy how primitive can an audience be ...

Paul Turner lookes so much older all of a sudden.
Jamiroquai began with ZENDER… Then there was Fyffe… MEH… then came Paul. Jamiroquai is Zender/Turner… Fyffe was just a filler.
fyffe had some great moments. let's not discount his contribution.
Seems like a nice guy...until you throw pebbles at him lol
The host sounds ridiculous when he fake laughs along with everything the guest says
