John Deere 5105 Left Axle Repair

John Deere 5105 planet pinion carrier assembly repair of the left axle. I had previously done a brake job on this same tractor and had a small leak on this left axle. While fixing the leak I caused myself a little more of a headache than expected. I accidentally hit the gear shifter while it was running and broke off teeth on 3 separate gears.I also ran out of fuel prior to doing this video and had to prime the fuel system. It had been a while since the fuel separator had been replaced so I changed the filter as well.

I bought the shop/service manual download from John Deere about two years ago. .

I need to go ahead and do that myself. I have an electrical issue with my key switch. Previous owner swapped it out for a universal switch. It loses power to injector pump and will shut off. Added a bypass as temp fix for now.
