It's hard to express just exactly how much I like Zack Hemsey's music.
For me it's like you want to cry it out but it's a sound you can't make. It's too good.

This song puts so many emotions through me at once... Happiness, Perseverence, Anger, Depression, and Motivation. I don't even know how but this man is literally the reason I started drawing and music just in order to convey my emotions as strongly as he can.

Can't believe the people bemoaning the vocals in this song. As good as Zack's music is, his words just take it to a whole new level.
I feel like this is a sequel to "The Way" it has the same formula: starting with instrumental and into rap near the end. It even has the subtle sound of two swords sliding against one another in the background that "The Way" also had. Also the lyrics "No guide that came before can show the way beyond the pass" probably meaning there is no "right way" but your own.
But this song isn't about you, it's about Zack Hemsey himself;
He's been sitting inside an *empty room* trying to find *the way* to last he battled the mind in the land of no man for his spirit to break out from that tomb - that empty room he's been inside with the teaching of a *ronin* and the lessons from a *nomad*.
I cant tell whether Zack Hemsey planned this, or if it's just the work of his unconscious genius. But, the one thing that is clear is that the story isn't over
It's the story of a deep thinker genuinely trying to find "The Way" between lies and counter-lies.

So many powerful verses in this song. But he speaks so much truth when he says. "So if you stand for something, stand for something more than simply standing by". There are so many people that do this. This one thing is what separates heroes and patriots from those on the sidelines.
This song reminds me of my 5 happiest weeks in my entire life; in those 5 weeks I went to Alaska. Now I have the wish to leave this empty room I am inside of and see the endless wilderness and beauty of Alaska again, once again see the no man's land
I get all the positive thoughts when I listen to Zack Hemsey's music.
After more than 2 years I still come back to this masterful album. It as given me imagery stuck in my head ever since i first listen to it. Nobody warned me that the world he built with his music would still exist in my mind even after it was over. Now, i explore my mind almost entirely inspired by Zack Hemsey. I have tried everything to translate these stories onto different mediums - I thought art, so i spent a few years learning the fundamentals of both traditional and digital - there was no luck with it - to the point I've reverted to drawing circles over and over again in frustration. I then tried writing and although it was cathartic to write thousands of pages of storytelling - i never felt I fulfilled what i set out to do, it didn't capture what was going on in my head for almost all this century.
Although, still lacking contentment and satisfaction with this quest, I never give up. But I fear that I will never reach the height of quality Zack has respectfully reached. I'm still young and even when i'm old this will still be my quest. I just need to push myself a little bit further everyday.
Also, i do not mean to glorify Mr. Hemsey, his work does have a momentous importance in my life, and I could romanticize my perception of his music through out all of it. But, I believe deeply that in every human being there is great amounts love for life that will one day prove to even outweigh his. To those people with that dream, I say push forward with it to the point of exemption - and bring meaning and love back into this cold world - setting our hearts free!

The poetry of this rap is staggering :O every line linking back to no man's land, accompanied by beautiful instrumental music! For me it shows you where you are and where you want to go. There is no guidance for how to get there, you have to do it yourself, you have to live your life the way you want and eventually you will get where you want.

I am a writer. Whenever I start writing, I get stuck. So I do what I have to do.
I turn on Empty Room and write chapters 1 & 2, the opening to something magnificent. I move onto The Way and write chapters 3, 4, 5 & 6, the main story. Then I switch on Ronin and write chapters 7, 8, and 9, the character piece and climax. Chapter 10 has been waiting since 2013. The epilogue. The finale. I listened to Nomad and now it is done. 7 years of writing has led me to finish my book. And it is because of you. You are an inspiration to me. You are my hero. Thank you Zack. Thank you.

Its hard to express what my thoughts look or sound like, the regular teenager in my head should think about money, grades, friends, having a fun night out....but I find myself, from time to time, thinking of everything, not only small things, but big, life things, and it really get jumbled, i tried to organize it all out into a paper, but it took to long to even begin to write what was on my mind, but this, this music helps me concentrate on my thoughts, letting me go deeper....thank you

Fortune favours the bold.
