    Toxicity Lyrics
[Produced by Rick Rubin, Daron Malakian, Serj Tankian]
    [Verse 1]
    Conversion, software version 7.0
Looking at life through the eyes of a tire hub
Eating seeds as a pastime activity
The toxicity of our city, of our city
    [Chorus]
You, what do you own the world? How do you own disorder, disorder?
Now, somewhere between the sacred silence, sacred silence and sleep
Somewhere between the sacred silence and sleep
    Disorder, disorder, disorder
    [Verse 2]
More wood for their fires, loud neighbors
Flashlight reveries caught in the headlights of a truck
Eating seeds as a pastime activity
The toxicity of our city, of our city
    [Chorus]
You, what do you own the world? How do you own disorder, disorder?
Now, somewhere between the sacred silence, sacred silence and sleep
Somewhere between the sacred silence and sleep
    Disorder, disorder, disorder
    [Instrumental Bridge]
    [Chorus]
You, what do you own the world? How do you own disorder?
Now, somewhere between the sacred silence, sacred silence and sleep
Somewhere between the sacred silence and sleep
    Disorder, disorder, disorder
    [Outro]
When I became the sun, I shone life into the man's hearts

(The purposeful introduction of Chaos to balance out Humanities natural inclination to Order our world. The balance between Chaos and Order.)
      When I became The Sun....
(When I achieved the enlightenment and wealth which put me above humanity and made me a true source of illumination for them. When i became a Son of God/an embassador for the growth of the consciousness of The Universe through human evolution.)
...I shone life into the man's hearts.
(I illuminated/I converted softly. I showed people how to awaken their spirits so they would create technologies and families and mass movements which grow humanity's glory.).

personally, when i hear this song, i always picture the dark side of hubbub in a city; government on advertisement screens, announcement of psa, ambulance and fire trucks rushing by, homeless people you'd see on your way home huddling by a fire, some groups of kids fighting in an alley, someone's house on fire, the dark hallways of you home illuminated by a lone TV playing some propaganda, the flashes of red and blue police car on your window, someone getting arrested across the streets, police brutality.... you know, the whole shebang.

    Conversion, software version 7.0
Looking at life through the eyes of a tire hub
Eating seeds as a pastime activity
The toxicity of our city, our city
You, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder? Disorder
Now somewhere between the sacred silence
    Sacred silence and sleep
Somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep
    Disorder, disorder, disorder
More wood for their fires, loud neighbors
Flashlight reveries caught in the headlights of a truck
Eating seeds as a pastime activity
The toxicity of our city, of our city
You, what do you own the world?
How do you own disorder? Disorder
Now somewhere between the sacred silence
    Sacred silence and sleep
Somewhere between the sacred silence and sleep
    Disorder, disorder, disorder
You, what do you own the world?
    How do you own disorder?
Now somewhere between the sacred silence
    Sacred silence and sleep
Somewhere, between the sacred silence and sleep
    Disorder, disorder, disorder
    When I became the sun
I shone life into the man's hearts
    When I became the sun
I shone life into the man's hearts
