I will never forget the time I asked my eighth grade teacher if I could use this song to represent The Pearl by John Steinbeck and she said yes. I honestly think this is one of the most beautiful songs by Slipknot, I love how it calms but then the guitar gets more intense. Also Corey has a very nice voice throughout.

I can interepret it the other way around too. Like if other people gaslight you into believing you are always at fault, make you into their devil. Or if they shove all their problems onto you as if it's your mess to fix when it's not. I listened to this song over and over when I broke off a very bad Co-dependant friendship, the message just fits perfectly to what I was feeling at the time. Like my friend seemed to make me into his devil instead of looking at himself.

I'll admit, I'm not a death metal, deathcore, or even much of a heavy metal fan for that matter. But I can get behind this one. It's not too screamy, the guy has a great voice, the drummer that's in this one (I am aware he's no longer with them) is insane. That drum solo is badass. It's a damn good song.
