Always felt the most faithful and best vid game movies were MK, Silent Hill, Tomb Raider and Sonic. First RE wasn't bad. Detective Pikachu was meh a bit too silly for my taste. Wasn't a huge fan of Pikachu talking and I kept thinking Deadpool the whole time.
@@MKF30 Given that detective Pikachu is based on a spin-off game in which the titular Detective Pikachu talks for slightly different plot reasons than in the movie, of course Detective Pikachu would talk.

Trailer tend to mix up line from different scenes. This one might be the same case.

and Sonya's line may be from later when she explains the mark's significance to them

When sub zero freezes jaks’ gun and the bullets, look at the way sub zero looks at the frozen bullets forming in front of him. The actor playing sub zero literally might steal the show. I’m not even a sub zero fan but after seeing this trailer holy shit they made him as cool as possible. Pun intended.
Scorpion saying get over here was a nice new style put on the classic line. Everyone wants it to be loud and aggressive like the video game, but during an actual fight after being stabbed and kicked through an ice wall and presumably out of breath, it was a VERY realistic “get over here”. I loved it.
Now, if he would’ve pulled him in with the spear and hit him as he flew closer I would’ve cried with excitement but that’s neither here nor there. This movie looks amazing. Needs to come out tomorrow.

I will admit that the casting is almost spot-on.
I love watching these reaction videos from real die hard fans of Mortal Kombat. I never get tired hearing “😱 It's Jax, it’s Jax! That’s how he loses his arms!!” or “OHHH MY GAWDDD, IT’S GORO!!!!” lol. Everyone is so releived once they realize this reboot won’t be botched like MK Annihilation. Seeing the genuine happiness and excitment from all these grown ass adults as the trailer progresses on makes me laugh lol, I think it’s adorable.

I've been waiting for and following this movie for 5 years when it was first announced so I know pretty much everything you need to know. To list a few things:
Sub zero is supposed to be like "the big baddie". The Sub Zero in the movie is Bi Han (The first Sub Zero) but he dies and becomes Noob Salbot causing his brother to become the Sub Zero we all know and love. Kano was ment to fight for earth realm in the very first MK game the he betrayed everyone. Cole (the new guy) is supposed to be a way to explain everything and have it make sense why they're explaining everything. Plus the games add characters all the time so they saw no problem with it. Ermac and Goro has taken Jax's arms so they felt they had creative liberty with that to. It's gonna start with Pre death scorpion. Lu Kang is fighting Kabal when he makes the dragon. The guy in the painting is Kung lou who is the ancestor of the Kung Lou in the movie, he won the tournament 500 years ago. They're saving Johnny Cage for the second movie to give him a bigger part/role to play cause we're getting so many characters and a brand new character in this movie. The director is thinking either Ryan Reynolds or Scott Adkins (My idol)

Sonic The Hedgehog and Detective Pikachu were both entertaining, awesome, and honestly were the first 2 actual great video game movies, looks to me like Mortal Kombat will be the 3rd great video game movie, I can't wait to see my favorite fighting game brought to life how us MK fans have dreamed about, I'm so hyped rn! 🙌😃🤯😱🔥

The theory I'm going with is that Cole Young is Kuai Liang, the 2nd Sub-Zero and brother of Bi-Han, the 1st Sub-Zero. It would explain why Sub-Zero seems to be hunting Cole, and the name could be an Americanized version of Kuai Liang from having grown up in America.

which do you prefer scorpion or sub zero? johnny cage and noob saibot are my guys, i rate it 8/10 good action and fatalities are included, stick to its own roots but the story is kinda shallow, there is a room improvement furthermore the deleted scenes are out now in youtube, i suggest you see it later.
kano's heart rip to reptile is just too awesome, referenced to the first game, jax head clap fatality to reiko is just too beautiful, referenced to mk 2, shang tsung's soul sucked to kung lao is just too perfect, scorpion's fire breath to sub zero brings nostalgia, referenced from the first game, and kung lao's razor hat fatality to nitara is just flawless victory.
I prefer Scorpion but Sub-Zero is awesome as well.
