Those who labeled the 2-1/4 Ton jack were on drugs and full of, and the company that produces the 1-Ton jack is being honest. the way the 1-Ton is designed, with the casters that are on it, and its overall build, It can safely lift 1-Ton. If that smaller jack can lift what it says, then you can lift your entire truck off the ground with it. I don't see that happening, but if for some magical reason, you did get it to pick your entire truck off the ground, it would be very dangerous, like a ticking timebomb with no clock on it.

The reason why the smaller one can handle more weight is because it is a shorter arm the length on the arm is the difference kind of like you can hold weight easier closer to your body but if your arm is extended it feels heavier because of Leverage it's all about Leverage
