Personally Karl I think the uncomfortable night was worth it, it’s one of those things you’ve done and look back on with the story, but what a magical place .. keep finding Karl, Love it ✌️❤️🙏
Beltin these videos. Another place on the list to go when i begin my longer holidays early next year. More impressive when you realise the effort it must take to make these videos👍👊👏
Someone asked me about doing another adventure with you the other day lol. I might be up for it in September, maybe even for my 60th birthday that month
It's been on my spreadsheet since I saw your first video. I came close to hiring a driver in August, but I think it would be best to rent a car in Bangkok and then spend 3 days exploring the area. Besides Hup Pha Sawan, Ratchaburi has a lot of cool stuff to explore.
Cheers Anders, sorry to hear that it’s not for you. I think that many of my viewers like to just watch me visit these places and I’m more than happy to do it.
Hi mate what a fantastic video think you needed a couple of Sherpas to carry your gear 555 . What beautiful place to camp with stunning views , we never had monkeys in the New Forest when we camped just pony’s . Brilliant filming 👍Chris & Mam .
Great vid, wish i knew about this place last week !,id hiked up khao iko mountain not to far from this area then tham bo cave, recommended btw, this one is on my list next month or so,thanks for the upload and info.
nice one mate Really fascinating and interesting mate on the history that would've been hard going up all those stairs mate in that sort of heat mate i really like it mate
Me too Rick, I don’t hate them but you need constant vigilance wherever they are about lol. Drop your guard for a second and something will go missing!
@@karlsthailand Yes mate, I sent you a What's App message on Wednesday just gone. It shows as Sent but Unread for me but let me know if you didn't get it and I can always email :)
It really is a mesmerising place Karl and one I will go back to for sure. Where did the dogs go, back down? Thanks for the link mate; funny, I was thinking of re-editing my video and re-uploading it the other week but decided it was too much work. Did you two have food on you for a snack or brekky? Great video and cracking drone footage.
We did take some chicken and snacks up there with us Jimmy. The dogs both disappeared at the top of the main staircase. I guess we never pulled the chicken out soon enough lol. Cheers
awesome place! google map link would also be awesome😊😊 I think I getting a bit old to be doing hike's like that tho now...sadly but moving to Thailand in the next 12 months sometime and will be living just south of Hua Hin in Pran Buri
That’s great Keith. Here’s the location on Google Maps as it is hard to search for in English. I think you would be alright so long as you take something to drink and climb the stairs slowly. Overall it’s still in pretty good condition
I think you’ll be fine Malin, just take something to drink and take it as slow as you like. It’s in pretty good condition up there considering. The main staircase up is in excellent condition
Here’s the location on Google Maps Johnny. I would mark it as it is hard to find searching in English. A car or motorcycle there should be fine Heaven Valley maps.app.goo.gl/KkHwLCPKBkQHiicb6?g_st=ic
Applies to all the chedis and statues on steep mountain tops How did they ever get it up there? All that concrete, the structures, materials, .. must have been tough labour You would expect some breeze up there wouldn't you, to cool off during the night.
Karl once again demonstrating how overrated Yosemite is 😉 My Kingdom goal remains to get in Karl condition to where I can be his Mule (who also runs primate security) 1 day & go on these many off the beaten track Excursions throughout the Country. Another epic documentation Karl > the effort definitely acknowledged here...very well done once again Brother✅ & this time yt even notified me...things are improving 👍
Does the train stop anywhere near this temple? What would be the nearest train station. Always wanted to spend the night on a summit watch the sunrise. What time of day did you hike up and how much water did you take? Guessing you need a tent to deal with the damn monkey.
There must be a train station on the Southern Line not too far away but I’m not sure which one. Here’s the location to help you investigate Heaven Valley maps.app.goo.gl/KkHwLCPKBkQHiicb6?g_st=ic

Monk help so much and cool about camping....love Thai people and Thailand 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
Absolutely loved this camping video.
So visually stunning, your videos.
Thanks very much McCall. I do try to do that, thanks for noticing

Thanks Anthony. It’s good to know that people appreciate the effort involved in many of these locations
Nice Karl i enjoyed that. Shall we do Khao Yai trail number 5? again in September the height of the rain season? 😃

Stunning views Karl ❤ so good I’ve had to watch this video again Thanks
Many thanks. I need all the repeat views I can get lol. Cheers
Fantastic drone shots, and the monkeys are good, too.

It does indeed Joe. I’d hire a car too, you’ll definitely need it to mover around. Cheers
Wonderful scenery. Thank you Karl. 🙏

Yes, we're very well, thank you Karl. Hope you're well too. 🙏
That was a great video Karl , very interesting, amazing drone footage especially at the end , what a beautiful place!

Great Video Karl .... so interesting ... Cheers Mick

Very nice video Karl. Thank you.

Yes, a couple of Sherpas would have gone down well that afternoon Chris and let’s hope them monkeys stay away from the New Forest lol
Holy C*** I have never even heard about That area I have been to hua hin and PKK thanks for sharing once again you have incredible videos
Even most of the locals don’t know about it lol. Cheers
Very interesting place and history. Yeah I know what you mean about trying to sleep when it's way too hot and there's no breeze at all.
It was a big and thick tent Mal and there was very little mesh in it’s construction, combine that with no breeze…..
Great vid, wish i knew about this place last week !,id hiked up khao iko mountain not to far from this area then tham bo cave, recommended btw, this one is on my list next month or so,thanks for the upload and info.
My pleasure, glad you enjoyed the video and have a great visit
Definitely more scenic than going to the gym!
That’s very true lol. You’d keep feet going up and down there every day for sure
Wonder how all the concrete and other "Heavy" materials were brought all the way up there? was it all actually carried up? great video!
Doesn’t it make you just scratch your head and wonder Darryl? That thought applies to many of the places I visit. When are you back here?

Karl, you guys definitely earned your right to camp up there. So happy you didn't lose your equipment to the monkeys!

I just asked Maura, "You do know that I am going with him on one of these trips eventually, right?" 🙂
Some of them aren’t too bad lol. Honestly!
It's a fantastic place. It would be best if you had a USB fan for camping, Karl.
Indeed. Actually Decathlon have a tent with lots of mesh and no fly sheet that would have been ideal. Add the fan and it would have been bliss
Great vlog. I will be in Hua Hin from June 1 and would like to visit. How tough is the climb without camping gear? Ok for a 71 year old?
