Why do first trombones always have to have a hero mentality. Back off. It doesn't need to be that loud. Blend god dammit
Spam Mail in this ensemble first would be melody so uh. Melody is always the loudest voice.

It sounds great as is, the first trombone needs to ring out. Every part is clearly audible and blended, and individual parts are highlighted at the appropriate times. Just because first trombone is the most prominent (as it should be since it's the melody) doesn't mean there isn't great transparency and balance in the overall sound (which there is)

I don't find it obnoxiously loud at all. Great balance, appropriate projection, and clarity all around. If it is loud to you, turn your volume down, as rude as that is to to this ensemble.
