I wouldn't be surprised if the aliens are a euphemism for the "modern audience". Fits them like a glove in fact, meteor (possibly fictional problem) = discrimination, and all those other buzz words. Solution, blow up the meteor = play savior and implement DEI to every single damn thing you can find. Result: Both play hero and treat normal humans like trash.
nah, that's just an excuse. They identify as op pressive, that's why they are not happy by so many similarities. I'm going to read and enjoy a lot this manga now that I know this.
Idk what they are talking about. My first assumption of parallels to reality I got was upper class stuff. U know. Like their boss, how the aliens are above the normal people people. And how society doesn't care when them do something outrageous. Like when the protag ate alien I just thought "ohhhh, like literally eat the rich"
The second thing it reminds me of is the Palestine-Israel issue and the shit going on in the occupied west bank. *Minus the alien eating part.* (Don’t ban me UA-cam)
Japan doesn't like the US occupation forces very much and those "incidents" sound like they would fit (even in the UK, a US embassy worker killing a pedestrain was resolved by by the US citizen being shipped back to USA instead of any kind of judicial proceeding)
They give this privilege jerks a pass because they are foreigners, even if they take resources or get away with murder and physical abuse towards humans simply because they are aliens. Its Wild. If you look at it closely, it looks like the aliens are the racist ones towards humans.
It will probably just filter it out. I mean it’s the first chapter, a lot of people will try it, and speak shit about it. Give it like 10-15 chapters and it’ll get replaced with people enjoying the manga instead of what it has
I know right? This aliens literally get away with murder and physical abuse, THEY ARE THE PRIVILEGED ONES! They are taking advantage of the human's gratitude, they are the ones that treat others poorly. Humans opened their doors to them and they just went in and started running the place as if its their own. They are not trying to integrate, they are invading and taking advantage of the humans. I mean, its only the first chapter, but so far... they look like jerks.
As a German I also see the parallels. Migrant rapists here get less fines than a person criticizing the judge for said verdict. It's exactly the same, just switch the asteroid with white guilt.

I'm gonna be 100% honest here. If you look at these aliens and think "those aliens are a satire of me", maybe it's time for some intense internal reflection. Very, Very far away from me.
This is finally a good take. Unlike all the people that presume to know the meaning behind the story and are acting like the wokies they are attempting to criticize.
Would't it be amazing if the whole thing is an actual allegory to DEI, modern audience and all that bs that keeps polluting media nowadays? Like these people (modern audiences) are the real drama queens, creating problems to bring "solutions" and keep treating people who don't share their ideology pretty bad, no wonder they feel called out and try to paint it as "racist"
This literally happened in New York if I remember. A bunch of women were being punched in the face randomly by someone but when the women complained about it, even when complaining, they were some how trying to still protect the identity of the attacker and the when some of them went to the police they were encouraged not to press charges. The attacker had no prior connection from what I can tell to any of the attacked women.
They have activism and politics on their mind constantly, and it's all they ever talk about. They can't separate fiction from reality or even have fun without trying to prove how much of a loyal dog they are for their political party.
I mean. its the same group who also belive if your villian is racist or sexist its because YOU are racist and/or sexist. they lack nuance...I for one enjoy the "Eat the rich" being taken so literally
Woke people aka modern audence usually are the first ones to sexualize everything, which honestly says more about them than anything. Cute anime picture of a girl? the modern audience immedatly starts thinking of rl kids. Like man learn to seperate fiction and reality for fricks sake.

I am shocked, aliens reminded me of the "rich colonizer" (fancy things, better positions in society, abusive tendencies to "lower" class people etc.) trope and in the story they basically "eat the rich" lol. I thought they'd love this one.
I remember when it used to mean taking someone's word so we could properly investigate it instead of flat out ignoring the plight of someone who might be the victim of a crime. We were supposed to believe people regardless of their gender to address an investigation, not just believe someone because she is a woman.
@@exaltedfalcheon1793 The manga has a woman saying the aliens hit her. These (ironic) drama queens are saying it could be for reasons outside of the aliens.

Yeah, because to these people, values, virtues and principles aren't absolute. They are tools, to be used in order to get into power. They will use your principles against you one second, and then drop them the next, so long as it benefits them.
If Death Note came out in the modern day, these people would despise it, I'm sure. Some people can't handle the idea of a protagonist who isn't immediately morally good.
I don't about that one, man. Light is an anti-hero that slowly turns into a clear villain by the end. The "Modern Audience" would eat that up! Just have to change his targets to being enemies of the illiberal left.
Somehow modern audiences gone from treating fictional characters as real and belive all woman to "hit her? i didnt see it, and thus she is every phobic in existence". Interesting, isnt it?
It's a brilliant Anime because just like in the manga people are flooding out to defend the aliens for no real good reason other than they may have saved the Earth from an asteroid. Exactly this, seeing your country overrun with muslims who treat your customs with contempt, which you can't criticize without being fined feels just like being conquered.
To be fair, even if they saved the earth and there are no plot twists behind, they still take advantage of the human's gratitude and get away with crime and treat people poorly. The aliens are functionally a Rorschach test. @JPPkrFan ngl, Hazbin Hotel might've singlehandedly killed that trope because of how obvious it is. There's only so many times you can do crap like sell "Sinsmas" Christmas cards before people start questioning how we got here.
@JPPkrFan I think I read a manga where there were demons who just acted like normal people, but it turned out they weren't actually demons, just people who the regular humans thought _looked_ like demons. Later in the series, _actual_ demons showed up, and they were lovecraftian eldritch horrors that wanted to destroy humanity.
6:40 'Eating *_people'_* It was Sargon or Arch who talked about this the other day, about how the Left empathise with the bugs over humans in Starship troopers, and Xenos over humanity in 40k. Whilst yes _these_ aliens are humanlike (Like the Orcs, Eldari, Tau) they're presented so far as actively having malicious and subversive intent towards humanity, and yet the Left will empathise with the aliens as on the surface, its the protagonist who's seen to have committed the greater crime of shmurda and the eating of a _'person',_ an _innocent individual,_ just like any one of us humans. ...The people saying this manga is ray cyst are 100% the same people who think humanity are the bad guys in Starship troopers (even if they'd likely be ripped apart by the bugs irl).

Anyone that gets offended over fictional story/characters that is clearly not meant for them should just mind their business. It's simple this way both party can be happy but one side can't really shut up so it's impossible
It's kinda rich to ask people to mind their own business over things that may hurt them. It's simple case of propaganda, the issue being one side is way too intolerant and insecure about it. Usually to get your nose inside other country business you need way more than one manga like that, to justify you being offended
This is far from the first piece of fiction where aliens stage a 'soft' takeover of Earth, but apparently the modern audience thinks imperialism is now good and we should all welcome our new overlords.
Intentional or not, your summation of the plot got me thinking: Big nosed aliens in Japan fix a problem that they created and expect eternal hero worship despite being complete dicks that tell people how to live and ruin people's lives while also being completely inept? It's the Japanese vs the Western modern audience. These people are triggered because subconsciously they realize they're the alien assholes and they're not welcome. Or at least that's one interpretation.
bruh i'm a migrant worker and was enjoying the premise. i didn't even make the connection until twitter. even if it is a parallel to migrants in the mangaka's head, if blob aliens kill people and just act violent in general, that behavior should not be defended. i deserve to be kicked out if i act like an ass.
What a concept huh? Kicking out bad actors used to be a part of liberal thought. Now it isn't since radical ideology had an almost complete hostile takeover of media and academia.
I can see this being about foreigners in Japan. The meteor can be about the nuking of Japan and the very people who caused it now swoop in to colonize under the guise of rehabilitation. On the other hand, those that fight back are not exactly good people either, getting almost aroused by watching those they don't like suffer. The story will likely develop into a resistance movement taking revenge, but there will likely be a twist that they grow more violent and vindictive while the aliens may not be 100% evil.
The only things that was changed in Japan was the government it wasn’t colonized. In reality the bombs helped the emperor to force his generals to swallow their pride and accept the idea of surrender. They (the generals) wanted to literarily fight to the last man.
But when some oriental country does it, they all just "Well, they are a minority so they should be allowed" like what, that continent's one nation has more population than all of Europe so they are literally excusing some behaviors based solely on ethnicity. The concept of victim blaming is so weird to me. Like, telling someone that it's their fault for being abused, or they're just making it up is the wildest thing to me.
The making it up I can understand because people can be skeptical about shit and demand proof. Not disagreeing with you just pointing out plausible cause.
The 'Modern Audience' has zero understanding of fictional media if they think that this story is a manifestation of the author's evil beliefs simply because it dares to depict something that makes them feel uncomfortable. Fiction doesn't consist only of feel-good stories; it also includes stories that can challenge the reader is some way.
It is also sometimes just a story and the trope being used is just to push the story forward. You all are acting like the people at art galleries that see some random person's shoe and think it is an art exhibit and start pontificating on the profound meaning behind it when sometimes it is just a shoe and you need to stop huffing your own supply.
Death of the artist started with lovecraft and now every single piece of media is looked at as just an extension of the creators belief in every single facet of the work.

The aliens are functionally a Rorschach test. @@capt.artemislivius7601no it is based on colonialism stop finding scape goats
Great replacement isn't a theory. It's on the United Nations website.
you could also draw parallel to the western colonizers in what they were doing to the nations they colonized
But when some oriental country does it, they all just "Well, they are a minority so they should be allowed" like what, that continent's one nation has more population than all of Europe so they are literally excusing some behaviors based solely on ethnicity.
Also you can draw many parallels to Western colonialism as much as you like, but my old country was a French colony and unlike Africa, we didn't destroy old remnants because "white people bad".
@@thientuongnguyen2564like all the colonization that was done by the Arab Muslim empire, they always turn a blind eye to that. And then there is the Arab slave trade which they ignore, maybe aside from some people who did acknowledge it after some Pro Palestinians called black people who served in the US military “colonizers”.
@@redcobra6016 Then you have what Chynahland is doing in Africa, hell, there's as much as controversies regarding how they treat locals as much as the long list of FUBARs in the main land itself.
@thientuongnguyen2564 the thing about white colonialism is that a lot of it originated from a belief that white people were superior to other races and had to teach them how to be normal humans. Just look at Residential Schools in Canada
Remember to thank the facehugger after it lays an egg in your stomach, guys.

Sure, that facehugger put a chest burster that will end me in a few hours but it cured my acid reflux!

The concept of victim blaming is so weird to me. Like, telling someone that it's their fault for being abused, or they're just making it up is the wildest thing to me.
The making it up I can understand because people can be skeptical about shit and demand proof. Not disagreeing with you just pointing out plausible cause.
@@tio_johnof course you need to see if its true first but after the facts victim blaming is just yeah
Hell they applaud movies that make the bad guy SEEM like a good guy and "oh no have sympathy for the evil one." crap, but only when it suits them.
@@thomgizziz I was simply pointing out that different genres of fiction can invoke different emotions. It was never my intention to imply there's some profound meaning in everything, in the majority of cases "The curtains are just blue".
Twitter "people" would get offended if the air around them contains more oxygen than usual, i thought disregarding their opinion was normal now
“You shouldn’t abuse women unless the abuser is an alien” do these people even read what they write before posting
Im glad this series came out i cant wait for this series to be successful
5:45 Modern Audience:
Claims that a fictional manga with no real life relevancy is racist somehow
Also modern audience: defends actual racists at Obsidian Entertainment
Could somebody get those peiple signed up for a brain check?
Kind of hard to check something that doesn't exist.
"no real life relevancy" and the whole chapter is power fantasy about "great replacement" conspiracy lmao
"modern audiences" inadvertently defending colonialism is both funny and sad
“It’s ok when we do it.”
-woke mindset
they always did
Modern society has become so pathetic even companies have bootlickers and apologists.
Colonialism is natural and doesn't need defending
it's not just sad, it's maddening
Ooooh looks like a fun manga! Thanks for the suggestion!
The small couple thousand people that are "modern audiences" can only see symbolism in everything for the political subjects they obsess over.
Let me just put this here.
Twitter's unofficial motto: I am angry for no reason.
For stupid reason

I wonder why they didn't see the aliens as colonizers🤔 What if the mangaka was commenting about colonisers? Would they support it then?
I bet it's entirely just because the world "alien" has become slightly more politicized lately in the US.
If this had been about demons or fantasy creatures invading and the technology was replaced with magic, whatever the case to just not use the word "alien" none of this drama would happen.
Twitter activists are just trained to react to buzzwords.
A toddler could understand this concept, “alien act bad, alien bad >:(“
Thank you for the recommendation Hei, I’ll look into getting some copies into my local library, doing a Youth racism prevention project atm. ^^
