The Unknown Regions have always been my favorite bit of worldbuilding in Star Wars since the original Trilogy, so for me this video is kind of like the time H Bomberguy spent an hour and a half telling me why my favorite video game is the best video game. Just straight up good vibes and fun SF stuff to nerd out over.
I am amazed at how well you compiled the video. Those 2 hours listening to you were not boring at all, far from it. I could not do it better. Your love and dedication for star wars is just fantastic.
Awesome thank you very much for this compilation. It is what I will be playing on UA-cam as I lay down tonight, and I love it. Again thank you very much
I own my own catering company and private chef business and do most of the cooking and preparing myself and it usually runs into the late night hours and one can only watch so many cooking videos and I love being able to put these long videos on to keep me company in the wee hours
Loved this huge compilation! Would love more of these like for the sith, jedi, etc. I'm a Star Wars lore junkie but some lore is hard to come by, and these videos are very informative and convenient. Keep up the good work!
This is awesome Justin! You're right, I'm one of those guys who puts on an Eck video to listen to Star Wars lore whilst I'm doing other things. Merry Christmas to you and the family, and I'm waiting to see what you produce next year!
Day 14600000: Now I get it, I get it! I understood why Eckhartslatter made so many videos about the unknown regions! He was cursed with Odin's thirst for knowledge, more specifically about the unknown regions from Star Wars. He became obsessed with them, and studied hard to make several videos about them, abandoning family and friends to gain more and more information. Until he realized that he had already scoured all the lore of the unknown regions, and I spent 40,000 years of my life just to come to this shitty conclusion so please give me all your money . And I wish mine very merry Christmas to everyone :-D
Odin convinced himself of all of that, he lost his mind, his eye and shit. That's just from Ragnarok the game. I'm not even quoting what really happened the THAT guy in OUR real-world lore.
Thank you for everything, Eck. You've gotten me back into Star Wars (P.S.- the recent period has been my favorite as a result, though I am going back through your older ones) and been an amazing UA-camr throughout all the messed-up stuff that's been happening lately- especially the copyright troubles. Your perseverance is inspiring. Hope you (and whoever else is reading) have an awesome holiday season and had a very merry Christmas today. also wow there's a lot more lore than I thought regarding the Unknown Regions
For the rebel base in the Rishi Maze, and what type of energy it harvested. This is actually a scientifically established potential energy source in the real world, far in the future of course. But the basic concept is that you shoot something (such as an energy beam) at a black hole at an angle so it just grazes the event horizon of the black hole, then you capture said something on the other side ending up with more energy than what you spent, because the thing you fired picks up extra energy from the black holes rotation which slows it (the black hole) down by a statistically insignificant amount. It is likely the writer who came up with the Maze Run story simply based it upon this scientific theory after having heard or read about it, but without going into detail about how it works.
@eckhartsladder your lore videos are some of the best I have ever seen. Thank you for doing this. You explain everything clearly and to the best of your ability.
So glad that you said the part about putting you on in the background. You make some of my favorite content to listen to while I play Hearthstone. Thanks man.
Merry Christmas to you Ecks! May your holiday be fun and enjoyable and stress-free throughout. I'm sorry you're dealing with content strikes currently, and I hope that with the new year you can find a solution to this absolutely criminally stupid problem you're facing. Be well and thank you for your content!
"The InterGalactic Banking Clan (also known as the InterGalactic Bank Clan, Galactic Banking Clan, Banking Clan, or the IG Banking Clan and often abbreviated to IGBC or IBC) was one of the Republic's most powerful and influential commerce guilds. It was a union of Muunilinst's ruling Council of Banking Clans and several other banking powers. Its name likely referred to its extragalactic influence-it was known that the Banking Clan controlled assets as far as halfway between the galaxy and its nearest satellite galaxy. The clan was based at the command tower on Muunilinst."
Hey Eck. I've been watching you for 4 years now and I've yet to subscribe, dont know why really, but anyway... You make some really good content and I feel it necessary to FINALLY subscribe to you. You've earned it, continue making videos for years to come man.
Considering canonically, Warhammer 40k is OUR universe but, as the name suggests, 40,000 years in the future, and Star Wars takes place in a "Galaxy far, far away", it is feasible that the two COULD take place in the same universe, just many, MANY millennia apart.
Okay so you're saying that it's remotely possible for the flying space dragon jedi to be infected and turned into a chainsaw wielding cyborg? Fuck dude.... I shed a tear in awesomeness
I really like compilation videos like this. I enjoy your content but it isn't the easiest to listen to while working or driving because the length of the videos can require selecting a new video too often which is tedious and can be distracting, so the compilation videos are perfect for uninterrupted work sessions or driving. Thank you
36:16 For some reason making someone see the wrong person like that is significantly easier than most mind tricks. Starkiller is able to use mind trick despite at the time not being as strong in the force as a jedi master like you usually have to be.
"It's an immensely powerful, evil entity!" "You're going to have to be more specific." "It's unlike anything anyone has ever seen before!" "Still quite broad." "It's... uh... immortal?" "You're still describing about half the galaxy."
in your old video section... the explosion sound effect made me about shit myself lol. Im listening to this at work. Love this compilation, ive always loved your videos! but screw you for scaring me lol
As always 👍❤ Edit: I'm biased though I love all eras, you've been therapy for a 34 year old that got into the original trilogyin the 90s. The minute I get home at night from work... the second I here Home play 😍. Chill time 😎.
Yeah now Hollywood thinks that what they are doing is good, so. Star Wars is dead except for the old lore keepers like Eck here. Endor maybe? Time will tell.
I'd be their undoing I can tell you that much, cryptocurrency, NFT's even YT and Twitch doing what scummy and most definitely illegal stuff, will be their downfall.
There was a starwars book i read as a kid about 2 kids and an adult in the outer regions. I remember one story where the kids wonder into a room on a space station and get pulled into a monster that traps people into a false reality. No matter what i cant remember the name of the book series. only that it was targeted at younger teens
Cthulhu’s biggest thing was affecting the psyche of humans, but Abeloth being an equally powerful celestial being likely would remain unaffected by his specific power set. She’s basically almost merged with the dark side of the force, something that spans on a universal scale. It surrounds all things. I think her reach far outclasses Cthulhu. But there are other primordials who are probably her equal or better. Cthulhu is the most famous old god, but he’s not the most powerful by far.
Cthulhu is just a Great Old One priest of the Outer Gods. Nyarlathotep or Yog-Sothoth could easily body him and probably Abeloth in a 1v1 confrontation (bearing in mind that the only time either has been """defeated""" is when the method they were using to focus their attention on a location was interfered with when they weren't really that interested in that particular location anymore). Azathoth would instantly body anything so isn't worth mentioning (it's kinda moot to bring up a being that only permits the existing of existence because it's dreaming in a power-scaling debate)
Didn't the rebel fleet go outside the galaxy at end of episode 5? The final scene where Luke is in medical frigate, looks out of window, and the galaxy is at full view
It's debated if that truly is the galaxy, as it looks quite small, spins too fast, and is somewhat wrong shape, @Alberto521. Others have called it a 'spiral nebula' in obscure sources, that said. And other sources vaguely back up it is the galaxy. So it's a bit mixed.
