Never thought of making idlis in those type of big containers. I'll definitely try. Cooking on wood fire tastes a lot better than on an electric stove. Although my mother had gas stove she liked to use coal fire outside in the yard. Thanks for bringing me back to childhood memories in Jamaica using silout and mortor 😊.

Saw you cup cake model idly 😄.
I wondered if idly is made in Sri Lanka.
The rasam ,looks more like our dal tomato sambar.
It was very intresting to see how you managed to grind the urud dal in that small grinding stone.
Do you use the other round shaped grinding stone with handle there?
Here, we use that to grind such things.
