Do you think a caller with a powerful speaker would help?
My GC500 is not up to windy nights at all I feel...but...haven't bought extra big speaker..not sure how that would go...

I use a FoxPro caller which works in some situations, unfortunately most of the time callers do not work on this ground as we keeper it all year around and they are on constant alert. As soon as they hear one they are off. Plus with the wind on that night they would have had to have been very close to hear it, which means they would have been close enough to take a shot anyway.
