I definitely agree with the tip to reread some favorites to get you out of a slump! Sometimes it “backfires” and you end up in brain rot mode with no escape from your fave, but that’s better than not enjoying reading at all 🙃

I been reading Metamorphosis myself for a while now and I love it so far! Been really enjoying the way it’s written with the way it’s both a continuous poem, yet also feels like each poem are they own contained stories, probably one of my favorite classics so far with how easy it is for me to read it? Crazy with how it’s such a big book, hope you continue enjoying the book as much as I am!😄
i feel the same way!! it's so easy to forget about the length of the book because it's so easy to read you kind of just lose yourself in the story and i love that feeling!

I’m just at the beginning of the video so I don’t know if you got out of your reading slump during the week, but just jumping on here while I remember to recommend ‘Secrets of the Silent Witch’ Japanese light novel series. Really fun cast of characters, heartwarming, good pace, kind of a found family trope, talking cat - always puts me in a good mood!

The books that really really got me back strong into reading this year were Evil Eye by Etaf Rum and Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver - (although, To The Lighthouse by Virginia Woolf seems to be taking me backkk 😪)

One book that sort of drew me back in is Assistant To The Villain in case you haven't read it! But also The Seven Husbands Of Evelyn Hugo also since its one of my favorite books!

I only read one book this month, but I'm okay with it because I finished it! I'm halfway through malazan book of the fallen and loving it. I totally get what you mean about a book slump trying to gaslight you. I have a list of go-to rereads for when that happens that I know will get me out. I've also had a goal this year of not focusing so much on how many books or how many pages I read a month, but how much I'm enjoying what I'm reading. If I enjoyed 15 books that month, cool, and if I only read one but it was a 5 or 6 star favorite, then that's cool too. I hope you find a book that gives you that excited feeling about reading again
if it makes you feel better, i've also been in a reading slump lately. tbh i've been just reading one piece in my eating breaks and that's it jdjdjjs (i'm in volume 27!!!!) hopefully this vlog will make me excited to pick up books again (i think it will, ngl). this was a really fun watch, thank you so much for your hard work. have a nice day

I’ve been reading the books of George R.R. Martin and I love it! I started with Fire & blood, and I am currently reading A Clash of Kings. They’re so amazing and remind me of how amazing reading is so soul highly recommend it to you!❤ love the video💐

Maurice was part of my suggested texts' list for my English literature coursework last year! I ended up doing another novel by the same author: A Passage to India. I love Forster's writing style, especially his descriptions. By the way, have you read any Wilkie Collins novels? He is a favourite author of mine. I feel like you would like The Woman in White or The Moonstone or No Name.

I have had a pretty good reading month so far, because I've been re-reading the Harry Potter Series!! I almost got into a reading slump in May because I was forcing myself to get through a book and it was... not good, so I just dnfed it and moved on to reading books that I wanted to read. I recommend re-reads, I re-read a good girl's guide to murder because of the show that's going to release soon! And I'm also re-reading Harry Potter right now, of course. But I hope your manga gets you out of your slump!!

I feel you with this reading slump, though mine is because of finals and having literally no time the entire month. I finished a book yesterday and the rush of serotonin that came in... Sometimes a longer break is necessary, I think. Sooner or later, the desire to read again will come back

Ever since my work promotion I just have no will to read a publish book. Im emotionally drained, but been chilling watching Dr.House s1. Never thought heard of this show till now and its awesome.
The fact that this show first aired at 2004 still amazes me, cuz that means its been 20 years ago today. Crazy😅

To get out of a reading slump definitely try reading Frieda McFadden books, her books are fast paced and the writing flows easily, they are to binge in 24 hours!
And Inside out 2 was AMAZING!! Loved it so much, can’t wait now for adult Riley in Inside out 3 haha
Also watched ep 12 (final episode) of Kaiju No.8 and OMG these 12 episodes were a wild ride!! Need to jump to the manga now!

I feel like I'm in a permanent slump atp. I do force myself to read and it pays off, but I can't help and let my mind wander elsewhere every 10 minutes. Usually it ends with me scrolling on tiktok getting major* mha spoilers and being graced with the aoba johsai chant. (It's stuck in my head help me..) Might be undiagnosed adhd, idk anymore 😭

I feel like with this reading slump you need to enter into your cowboy romance era 🤠💗I know everyone is going to tell you to read the Chestnut Springs series first but personally I was in a reading slump when I read Off to the Races and I think that's the one to start with! I binged like 200 pages in two days when I hadn't read or finished anything in weeks.
Note: do not sue me if you don't like it. I know we have different reading tastes but I think this book could help!
