Nice tool if you have large bamboo
in the area you live.
We only have smaller growth
bamboo and is usually used for
fishing poles

What's the split bamboo for?

Those folks in that part of the
world make lots of stuff from
bamboo. Quite a bit gets laminated
into planks these days. They
straighten splits like those and
use them like we would sawn lath
strips and such
