  • This 40-minute film seeks to address some of the misconceptions about the Norwich State Hospital. Part One looks at the vandalism that has taken place on the grounds since the close of the hospital in 1996, and its reputation as a haunted asylum. Part Two looks at how the hospital evolved over the years into a reputable psychiatric hospital. Featured are interviews with Troy Rondinone, PhD, author of "Nightmare Factories: The Asylum in the American Imagination"; Julianne Mangin, author of "Secrets of the Asylum: Norwich State Hospital and My Family"; and Wally Lamb, author of " I Know This Much Is True".
