Weird things happened in that stadium. I remember a game where the 49ers were attempting a game winning field goal, when a snowball flew onto the field right in front of the kicker and he missed. Denver won the game.
John elway would be a number 1 pick in any Era. Especially this one 2019. Size check. Mobility check. Rocket bazooka arm check. Durable and everything else.
The 11:15 my favorite chant starts up with one half the stadium yelling GO!! The other half yelling BRONCOS..I was just a kid back then I believe the fans did same thing when yelling DE..FENSE
Got a huge amount of great memories of my times with The Broncos in Mile High. I have had season Tickets from 1976. The first year if Red Miller and hus acquisition of Craig Morton from Dallas. The next year, we were in the Superdome for Superbowl XII. (No we won't go into that yet. I have 4 more years of covered psych evals to show to the courts. Lol😅😢). From that season on with the creation of The Orange Crush Defenses.
@@SSNESS I don’t remember Tom Ramsay being great, but I think he did win some games. Certainly Grogan was much better than he gets credit for, and Eason was fine for the most part. If we could do the 80s over, I would draft Marino ahead of Eason!
conlanding I see. I guess it can also be chalked up to the AFC being very tightly bunched in these years (late 80s/early 90s). The best two, three or even four teams in a given year during this time were in the NFC- which was seen over and over in the SB- but overall the AFC was more balanced. So through that lens this was San Diego just regressing to the mean. The same teams always seemed to be bad in the NFC in St.Louis/Phoenix, Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Detroit before Sanders and even Green Bay before Favre and other than the Cardiac Pack year.
conlanding don't remind me about that 86 title game. My Jets had every opportunity to be in that game. However, you only seem to hear about The Drive loss by Cleveland in the AFC Championship Game and not their coming back from a 20-10 deficit with 4 minutes left against the Jets in the divisional round aided by a brutal roughing the passer penalty on Gastineau.
Oooh man. Russ the sports guy is the "Bad boy" on that set. He was the one who had the hard hitting story with a MLB player getting busted for drugs. Lol!
I really got a kick out of Olson singing the praises of Nattiel. That guy was a absolutely terrible receiver. He was very fast, but could not catch to save his life and he showed it several times in this game.
Mile high stadium miss that joint
Mile High Magic...INDEED!

Your posting are awesome. Keep them coming from the Elway era. Old diehard Bronco fan here. Thanks.

Patrick Mahomes is what John Elway would be if he played in today's NFL. Setting the record books on fire.
Those Patriots jerseys were just so classy.
Both uniforms were awesome!!!
Old Mile High Stadium was New England’s house of horrors
Ask Tom Brady what he thinks of playing at Invesco/Sports Authority/Empower Field @Mile High in the playoffs especially.
@@CKWolf-kq5wz He don't like cause the mile high altitude plus playing above sea level in the 4th quarter it will zap you strength
@@juliansmith4352 Is that the BULLSHIT!! excuse you're going with.
@@hollytrinity8012 A loud Invesco Field at mile high plus 85,000 screaming broncos outnumber patriot 2 to 1
My cousin Tom Ramsey was the last person to wear the number 12 Jersey for the New England Patriots before Tom Brady did
Tom Ramsey to NE, via LA EXPRESS, via UCLA BRUINS.
Yeah thanks for hard work
It's been 34 years since I saw this game. I forgot how good of a game it was.
Some of the best games are the ones that don't start out that way "THE FUMBLE & THE EPIC IN MIAMI" comes to mind.

I like these bronco outfits better than the current ones.
Tom Ramsey was coming off one heck of a game the week before....
Patriots had four wicked awesome quarterbacks
John Elway and Randall Cunningham: masters of the quick kick.

Good ol’ number 12 for the Pats
They had four great quarterbacks back then

I don't remember San Diego being 8-3 in 87. What the heck happened? That was a strange year all around. Wow- they were 8-1 and missed the playoffs.

Thanks SO much for this...and all of your uploads! IF you find it, could you upload the New England at Denver playoff game from January 4, 1987?
Those Patriots Jerseys is million times better than the junk they wair now
His arm strength was so different than his contemporaries....
Never a patriots fan but they had most awesome uniforms , they went from best to clown uniforms

Does anyone else besides me think it's funny that the Patriots used to have a QB named Tom Ramsey that wore the #12?!
No, it's just you.
And 12 years later Brady sighned in '99 and took over Drew Bledsoe's job
