It would be a very valuable list to have. It’s basically “here’s a list of names you can sell literally anything to”. It would be the equivalent of a money printer or Aladdin’s lamp.
I highly doubt anyone has actually bought tickets to this. Maybe a few people have at the lower end but no one is putting down money for the huge packages. I don’t care what they say in terms of what the interest is or how much they’ve sold, they are proven liars and con men, and this is all part of their con. they’re just saying stuff to make people think they’re doing great and getting all this interest, that’s part of the whole “fake it til you make it” philosophy that they bought into the first time. It’s all a scheme to make them look legitimate and like people trust them, but it’s easy to claim you have all this interest or have sold tons of tickets when you never have to show any proof of it. Talk is cheap.
You have to be incredibly stupid to run the same scam twice, even more so to fall for it and buy tickets. Anyone that gets ripped off by this deserves it.
I 100% disagree. You must be a devilish genious to run the same scam twice IF it works out. And yes, everyone who gets ripped off should get a slap in their face on top to wake up.
Are you able to actually buy a million dollar ticket online? Even if so, will your bank read "fyre fest 2" and block it on merit of being a known scam?
Billy's such a good salesman he's managed to sell himself the delusion that he's a successful festival promotor with amazing business skills. I honestly think he's convinced himself that he has magical powers of persuasion and if he talks enough people into his crazy schemes that they'll just happen... no hard work needed. The crazy thing is that Billy was talking about Fyre Festival 2: Electric Boogaloo when he was _still in jail for the first one..._ so it will be very interesting to see if he manages to get any takers this time.
That's the thing though... he's NOT good at sales. He's just promising the best candy ever and dumb people actually think the candy will be there but he's overcommitting so much that getting the candy there is impossible.
@@Ryan-Herron The things he's offering sell themselves though. I could be a horrible salesman and people would still want to buy deep fried oreos if that's what I was selling.
Dude could build a brand around an ultra-exclusive 1000 capacity max mini music festival, 2 big stages & 2-3 little stages, charging $600,000 for the base ticket. It could take elements from EDC, Coachella & Tomorrowland and be held on a section of a larger island. For the attendees of this hypothetical event, this would be one step less exclusive from tagging along to their friends private concerts.
The "million dollar project" might be a bit dated. A million dollars was worth more back when the idea started. A million dollars now is just enough for a modest home in one of the more expensive cities. Not even a mansion, just a house. What would I spend a million dollars on? Bonds, probably.
That's why the price is $1M/person, not for everyone lol. They need the money to pay for all this stuff or to even get it put together to begin with, they're promising something they don't have yet and funding it by the people who fell for those false promises. Odds are they're not even funding it, just pocketing the $$$$.
I was wondering does that 3000 people figure account for any staff they are going to need during the fest for it to actually work or did he overstuff the island by selling that many tickets.
So.. I mean, obviously this is going to be a disaster, but "technically" it's actually totally possible to provide all those things (other than the sharks and lobsters maybe). All he'd have to do is contract local providers for all those activities. He doesn't actually have to "operate" any of it. The local provider turns up for a weekend with a captive audience of "3,000" and the opportunity to sell sky dives. Honestly, they're likely to sell a bunch of them. Also.. he's just signing up people to see how much interest there is. The website is up, and their form doesn't even have any validation so you can just submit an empty form lol. This whole thing is a massive scam (obviously), and the only thing less believable is that this dude is so dumb that he's just putting his name all over everything
People with more money than sense will slurp this crap right up. Why anyone would be interested in this after the colossal failure of the first one is beyond me.
I think the only way in which it will be better than the first is that he likely got advice from fellow inmates on what he needed to do so that the scam was technically legal. I expect it will still be hugely disappointing, he won't pay any of the no name workers, but he'll stay out of jail. Fool me once, shame on you.... I cannot feel sorry for anyone who gives him money. But I do hope he's forced to pay back that nice lady with the catering company who he defrauded during the first one.
Agreed that there are other revenue streams for festivals, however ticket sales account for the vast majority of total revenue. In this case I'd agree with your last point - Fyre 2 does indeed need sponsors
1 million dollar presale ticket is basically just asking for investors and telling them the only return on their investment is that they get to experience some live music. Lol. Its astounding to me that there are people who are savvy enough to acquire more than a million dollars, but simultaneously so stupid that they'll blow a million dollars on virtually nothing....
There are some conmen from our history that were probably not that bright But definitely smarter than Billy (but that doesn't take much) but there's a guy who sold the Brooklyn bridge more than once I know that there's also another man from France who sold the Eiffel Tower again these guys actually were real, and where is Billy's is an idiot I don't understand how he's even able to be involved in this kind of business ever again. considering what happened. & who's going to do business with him? what bands are going to do business with him or labels? In the last 5 to 10 years I've learned that there are plenty of stupid f****** people in this country!! So nope it doesn't surprise me that people would actually try & pay to go do this. Mexico has been pretty volatile as of late so I don't know why you would pick Mexico as a destination. Regardless of whether it's on a Private Island but I don't see this coming together.....really. whether he could or couldn't do it isn't really important I don't see how he couldn't do it the first time to be honest with you. I think he's incompetent but after what happened I think any of his past mistakes he could probably fix. But even if he does it & it's perfect I wouldn't want to go for free because this guy is a goon & I don't like his juju not good reckless juju!! It's probably all just types that he can get his name back out there and start trying to sell books or whatever I mean he'll probably come out here in like a week and say oh I was just playing or trolling or whatever and then try to start doing a podcast or who the f*** knows but I wouldn't put too much stock in this. ✌️☮️
One just has to expect civil litigation attorneys have recruited potential plaintiffs and are preserving every tweet, IG post and video for evidentiary purposes. Win-win. If it succeeds someone has an experience. If it fails they win again. The zero G & skydiving logistics are simple: one or two gravity loops and then toss you out with your parachute over the island. Or a loop or two in a single engine, 2 seater acrobatic biplane as old as your grandparents. Water taxi could be a 10’ boat with an outboard motor. I heard a story that claims the Marvelous Five Marching Band has been recruited (this is total cynicism).
So we may not be going to the actual shit show, but presuming the fest doesn't implode before location/lineup is announced, sounds like anyone who can afford a plane ticket can plan to go watch the chaos
I wouldnt bet he can pull it off, especially not my own money. In case he pulls it off and it is a success i will set up a Billy Mc Farland worship shrine in my flat.
This Billy has no shame 😂 wasn’t he banned by the court of law from ever doing anything like this again? If people falls for this again, I can’t even be mad at him
I bet he's going to not pay the workers again and that's who I feel sorry for. They don't have much choice if their boss tells them they have to go work their tail off for this idiot and then they end up with nothing 🤬
You might have put more effort (but why?!) into this video than that McFarland guy into the whole project. But in any case if anyone is stupid enough to buy tickets, they'll deserve what they get. I mean the guys name is far land, and there is a nowadays not that accurate saying in Hungarian: a guy coming from far away can tell what he wants
I agree with a lot of it, but the thing with noise from airplanes seems a bit far fetched. Most sky diving doesn't happen in 100-200 meters, they are a bit higher.
You guys have a terrible synergy. The woman keeps saying pointless shit, and the guy keeps rudely shutting her down and not playing into her attempts at a back and forth. Not good.
This whole thing could be easily countered by them and is nothing more than a snipe. The seasonality of the shark.lobster piece could be explained by the fact the original date was slated for Dec not April but they pushed back to allow more time to be able to deliver. (maybe hes actually learned a lesson???) The assumption that 50% of people would want to sky drive is way OTT, there is no way the numbers would be this hire. Also, FYI, the last time I went skydiving was in a small prop with 8 people going at once, 5 tandem and 3 solo so 19 tandems a day could be done in only 3 flights which is more than feasible. For the Zero G, I believe they did a Zero G flight earlier this year/late last year for the random PYRT bottle hunt thing they did which was clearly done in what looked like a 6-8 seat plane so the whole needed a jet to do it is erroneous. For a million dollars Im pretty sure 'more complicated logistics' could easily be attended to. you could employ a full team of 10 personal concierges and still have money to burn. Putting the onus on the purchaser for accommodation is a smart move and removes a lot of the headaches from last time. So your entire half hour diatribe could have been boiled down to simply: 'worryingly there are no confirmed artists yet'
Billy made another post on instagram (after this video came out) mentioning the lobster diving yet again, which would lead me to believe he still has not made any sort of plan to make that happen - if he had, he would’ve been told pretty quickly it is illegal that time of year. Re: the skydiving, the assumption in this video was based off of 50% of the 5% buying all inclusive tickets. I agree that 50% of all attendees won’t be skydiving. They’re also advertising skydiving from a helicopter or balloon, both of which have far less space. And, you’d also still need 5 tandem instructors. Indeed, worryingly there are no confirmed artists…nor seemingly any thought through plan for the other experiences he’s promoting ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I would like to buy the list of customers who actually put down $ for this thing....for reasons.

Im interested to watch it fail twice
Very interested!!😂
From a safe distance
You have to be incredibly stupid to run the same scam twice, even more so to fall for it and buy tickets. Anyone that gets ripped off by this deserves it.
Yeah, any ticket buyers are idiots.
I 100% disagree.

In case some people missed out on the scam the first time, here's your chance again!
Fyre 2 is going to be lit 🔥 🔥 😂
I can't believe he is doing this again
I can't believe anyone is willing to send him money!
I can believe he is doing again. I can also believe people are falling for it again, because people still be dumbasses.
I can't believe people still fool enough to buy thes3 tickets AGAIN.
Are you able to actually buy a million dollar ticket online?
Even if so, will your bank read "fyre fest 2" and block it on merit of being a known scam?
😂😂
Good luck to the guy. He deserves every cent.
Dude wants to go back to jail so bad wth
Now he can partner up with the Hawk Tuah chick to con more money out of people.
Can't even find his website through a google search. That's not a good sign.

Just get him ready for another six years in prison
And don't forget how he scammed the local vendors who were hired for set-up, food prep, etc. SMH.
Wait. Why are authorities letting him do this again?
With the incoming administration its far more likely he’ll become the authorities.
A Con is a con... I can smell the BS from the rockies 😂
That's the thing though... he's NOT good at sales. He's just promising the best candy ever and dumb people actually think the candy will be there but he's overcommitting so much that getting the candy there is impossible.

Bonds, James Bonds.

They should be sending complementary
Trust Me Bro
T shirts to all attendees who pay for tickets 😂😂😂😂

@ yeah. I’m still not sure why he’s trying to do this again.
Get ready to photoshop the Dashcon ballpit into pics everyone.

So pay a convicted scam guy a million for a gig he hasn’t announced who is playing at yet … will I get to meet the Hawk Girl ?
This reminds me of crypto rug pulls. They do it over and over, and people STILL put money in it. No sympathy for anyone that gets hosed in this.
I guess he misses prison
He’s in violation of his parole. He wasn’t supposed to do anything like this for 10 or 20 years. I can’t remember which.
Did you watch the new Shane O’Neil part tho?
it was a bit technical for me to really understand, but it seemed to blow Ryan's mind
