Good morning back yard. Just got a recently acquired magma luber sizer with an old old feeder. Center drop. Sucks like heck. Running 158gr with that shoulder you built this part for. Scouring the net for the files to the sacred code and I see it’s been removed for mikes plans to then print your flip plate. Tin man said boolits had it but it’s not there either. I’m going to drive my self crazy watching what I need but can’t get. 🤦thanks Eric
Hi Eric, yes indeed they took down ammo mikes files sometime ago. And you’re it right does suck, that’s Big Brother coming in and controlling us. Wish I could help but I can’t, don’t give up you can find something. B/I
Harry, what you have shown here is that these are a tinkerers thing. you really have to play with the bullet profiles and match it to the feed angles, the videos that you produce are valuable to those that have these as they are not as simple as just plug and play. great video, Thanks.
Awesome. I think instead of that knocker. I used a stiff extension spring with ability to raise for different plates. Similar to a door stop. Found a motor with 6mm threaded shaft to tac some dowel rods on a 6mm bolt. Many folks don't have access to a bench lath/mini lathe. I'm not having luck with the 1 piece slider. I guess my bullet profiles (smaller meplat) are needing different adjustments. Best upgrade was the anti tilt
Now tuning one of these is no easy task. I’ve have best success with the can at 38 degrees for starter and on the flip plate check it for edges have may a burr. I do run a fine file on the edges, then run it as slow as you can and watch it very carefully and you may have to break the edges. At times you still have to hand fit the plate to the bullets.
I like your set screw idea on the flipper plate. I just finished my first collator and am having issues getting base down consistently. I'm playing with the bucket angle, motor speed, and flipper plate position. I can get 8 out of 10 base down but struggling to get it perfect
It’s all a balancing game, bucket angle, motor speed are all crucial measurements. Spend many hours just watching and modifying. Slow things down and watch carefully! Sometimes you need to work the flip plate.
Hi Josh some how I remember you name from the past, one thing that did help me was I set up a video camera and took some footage of the machine running. Then I put in slow motion and watched that showed me a lot. Good luck!
@@backyardinventor9580 that mechanism with the spring clicking so loud that you taped a piece of cardboard in try a piece of neoprene spunge they come in all widths and thicknesses with glue on the one side...
@@backyardinventor9580 I'm from South Africa like watching all these videos. Would have liked to get those bullet feeding 3D printed stuff but I see they removed it from thingiverse. Let me know if it works cos I haven't got a bullet feeder.... stuff here by us is so expensive with the exchange rate...
Your videos and thingiverse mods are great. Thank you. On thingiverse your flipper that you have posted is not the same as the one on your video. Do you have it somewhere else on thingiverse? Also what is the 9.5mm plate for. Thanks again.
Hi Barry I found the flipper for you. Now as far as bottom plates the 8mm plate is for 9mm or 38 and the 9.5 is for 45, hope this helps. www.thingiverse.com/thing:4082769/files

Awesome thanks for sharing that’s what I need a momentary reverse switch for when bullets get stuck
When I get all the things together I'll show how to wire it up

Can you make or do you have an STL for Large spring Collars
My hands are full now my printer went down, but I'll look to see if I have them
