Disruption and upheaval in the crosshairs of research 🚧 |

Fear, hate and hope as resonances of a present that seems to be unravelling? This is what Lars Koch, Chair of Media Studies and Modern German Literature and co-spokesperson of the Excellence Initiative “Disruption and Societal Change” (TUDiSC), is investigating. Across disciplinary boundaries, he is analyzing disruption - that is, interruptions, damages, or even destructions of social or technical orders - and issues at the intersection of media and cultural theory, aesthetics, and (cultural) narratology. He is one of the eight dedicated scientists featured in the film “Bright Minds. Excellent Research,” which provides insights into cutting-edge research at TU Dresden. In the video, he reveals what sets Dresden apart as a location for his research.
